It’s amazing to see Jake and Lucas are taking the initiative on how important their health is. Also I love to see them both enjoy cooking. One suggestion would be to use non salted butter. This way you can control the amount of salt that is used. Congrats to both of you. You two are absolutely amazing.
Its crazy how perfectly matched the last 3 kids were with your fam. The lil boys & Jake literally got built in best friends and Bella too with teenage girls who've also been thru many trials & tribulations, but most of all Bella got parentals who parent relieving her of responsibilities she shouldn't of had as a child. God works wonders 🙌🏾
I haven't been around in a while an oh my Jake and Lucas' voices are sooo deep now. It's incredible how much they've grown in a short time span. They're growing into amazing men 🥰
The boys did so good! Everything looked delicious! I love how Bella was having none of it & went to make cookies. I wasnt expecting her to make them from scratch. Worse part, we didnt get to see the cookies!!!
You have the best mom and the best wife. Wow! what a magnificent family ! Thank you for uplifting everyone sharing your lives.🙏♥ Biggest heartfelt gratitude and love towards each and every one of you..💖
I think it’s awesome the lads have taken an interest in nutrition. Especially Jake listening and changing his intake and exercise plan after the Dr’s advice. Sports nutrition at college might be of interest to them? Involves a lot of the stuff they seem to strive at.
Jake and Lucas should be so proud of themselves! I agree with Aaron with sticking to a meal plan, it can be so hard but it’s so good to see the boys sticking to it and staying on track with their nutrition x
So unbelievably proud of the Boys & their Nutrition/Meal planning & Prepping & to stick to it on top of that.. hats off to them!! Well done 👏 ... have to laugh at Bella sabotaging the ending 🤣 😂 .. she's hilarious in the most beautiful ways! 💕
Mark your editing is on point! Food looked delicious Lucas and Jake and yum chocolate chip cookies! Now I'm going to go make some, thanks Bella for the inspiration. Sending love from Wilsonville Oregon
So awesome to see Jake and Lucas taking care of themselves!!! Even cooking on their own and helping each other out 👊👊💯 Food is Fuel and makes us feel so much better when we learn how it works!!! Proud of you guys 💪🔥 Keep it up and inspiring others how much fun and important it is!! Balance is key though… a little treats here and there are also important 💥 I do love my chips haha
Jake & Lucas are awesome, it's takes a lot of discipline to control your nutrition. But it definetely worth it. Nutrition has a crucial impact on the quality of your life. How you move, think, feel, look... your lvl of energy. I also think this will have a huge impact on the younger boys.
As a french food is a big part of our culture and is transmitted to kids at a young age :) I am often gobsmacked by American food culture, because of the amount of processed food. I’m very glad you guys are giving resources for your children to learn, make their own choices and build new standards for your family! Food is so fun, it’s such a great way to fuel your creativity while taking care of yourself!
It’s great that the boys are so into this at a you g age because it will stay with them throughout their lives. I think understanding the science behind nutrition helps solidify that knowledge. So awesome! Growing up my parents were big on the four food groups, but not in detail. And, it’s all different now! Lol When I was young, our fast food options were limited to McDonald’s, Burger King, and Wendy’s and it was a treat once in a while. We didn’t have vending machines at school either.
I agree and support a lot of this, I think with regards to chips or treats I look at it in terms of moderation. It’s more sustainable to stick to a diet if you don’t restrict to much. I really enjoyed this video! Would love to see you do it with the other kids ☺️
I watch Acre Homestead and it’s just her and her husband and she makes batches of prepared meals in the freezer. She really has some good recipes to do more that one meal at a time. And freeze for later. My favorite is she prepares marinated meats. When you take it out to defrost it will marinate and be ready to go
That's so awesome that Jake and Lucas are doing this together, makes it so much easier to stay accountable! Looks like some great meals to have made!! Bella at the end just makes me laugh so hard, going from healthy to unhealthy! 🤣
That’s so awesome the boys are taking their health and nutrition so seriously for their ages. Knowing that food is just fuel for your body is really important as well as water. You should be drinking at least 64-100 ounces of water daily which will also cut down on the in between meal snacking because the water will help keep you full. Great job boys!!!
I'm 76... My mom always cooked from scratch and very balanced. My grandson was a very picky eater. Absolutely no vegetables. (According to his mom) when he was small I included him in EVERYTHING in the kitchen. He helped cutting veg with an appropriate knife. He asked if he could taste. I made him wait until it was all together. He was surprised that he liked it all. He was so happy when he learned how to flip eggs. He would never eat eggs... until he cooked them. He's now married and does most of the cooking. Just like my son's. They became the main cooks in their homes, much to the surprise of their wives. Get the kids in the kitchen, every chance you get.
Excited the boys are doing so well! They are so grown up now! Just let them know those are not sunny side up eggs. They are over hard. If they were to go out for breakfast and ordered sunny side up I don't think they would be happy with what they get...LOL! Everything looked wonderful!! Bella is so funny! Love her having fun and out of her shell!
I appreciate that this can be a tricky topic to talk about, but I think it’s about positivity. Like the bun isn’t BAD and if there was cheese, it isn’t BAD. Bad eating habits can follow you into life but so can negative thoughts surrounding food. Someone with an eating disorder can hear those words differently than intended and it’s not obvious who may be struggling

Remember all foods fit in an healthy diet. As long as you moderate the extent of it. Bless your family and have a wonderful day! Love Isabel
So awesome that they value eating well. Bad habits are hard to break so starting good habits young will make eating well easier as they are older! In regards to the burgers not being healthy because of the fat. It’s not just about avoiding the bad things, but making sure you put good things in your body and beef patty’s are high in high quality protein, vitamins and minerals.
Yes i grew up before all the fast food was so readily available, we had meat and three veg every night or pasta or roasts. Fish and chips was a treat and school canteens sold real food not so much junk. I’m happy to see your family is cutting back on the processed treats that way when the kids do have them they’re actually a treat and not an expectation so well done to all of you.
We talk about healthy eating (I have a 19, 16, 10, and 8 year old) but never calories as it can create issues. It's all about moderation, and always have fruit before cookies, etc, but also absolutely nothing wrong with eating 'junk' food. Also, if you never do junk food, I feel like they'll gorge on it when they have their own money. And if you cook with them, they feel accomplished and understand that veggies in food tastes lush.
Honestly I agree to an extent about nutrition but still let the kids/ teens have there chip, just portion it because I got raised like That where I couldn’t eat “bad” things and now I have an eating disorder, and with Bella and the eating problems she had, it can go backwards. Please just don’t push all that stuff on them really hard. Love you guys ❤

It's clear they don't prevent them from eating what they want, they've been very good considering each child's triggers, even food ones. I think it's awesome they brought out a nutritionist. I think that is an awesome idea. I've never thought of doing that with my family, but I'm literally looking into it right now!
a brekkie option can be smoothly mashed avo on hot crispy toast with pecans on top and a drizzle of honey! It tastes sooo good and can be sided with berries for the extra antioxidants
Good job Jake and Lukas . Keep up the good work. Hopefully the rest of the family will follow your lead!!!! And Bella… you are just to cute and funny. You have such a bubbly personality 😍
With the chips, let them have a one serving bag on Saturday only. Another thing your family eats out a lot. Eat at home before you go to the mall or trampoline park or wherever. When you go to some place like where you went during the holidays to see the lights, again eat before you go. Bring healthy snacks with you if the kids get hungry. They do sell sugar free ketchup. Which would be better for everyone. Great job Jake and Lucas! ❤
I saw a video that suggested that when you eat you eat a small potion of what you want with a small portion of what you need. It helps people who have eating disorders and prevents new ones.
I don't do the meatballs, but I add ground beef into my spaghetti. However, I do the same as Lucas and Jake does. I just mix the sauce and noodles. I can't do the eggs, but the avocado on bread looks so good! I would love to see any other kids have any healthy recipes to share! Great video! ♥️
I think this should be an everyday video. They need their own cooking utube video. They could ask everyone for recipes. Great job guys and Bella. Guys your looking really good.
Love that the lads are able to do there own thing and are enjoying to cook and make different food that they enjoy rather then forcing them to eat foods they don’t enjoy - one thing that confuses me is at dinner the lads made pasta yet some of the kids were eating a fast food meal - New Year’s resolution cut down ?❤ love you all tho
The guys did an awesome job cooking for the day. Crystal, you are so the mom wanting them to run in the store 🤣🤣. They were so embarrassed 😳 but did a little because you asked. Great sons.
Working those fingers and leg muscles! Glad that Lucas and Jake get to be on the same team! Avocado toast sounds and looks delicious, I have never tried it! Well done boys! You might want to check out the ingredients of that margarine-there are less calories in butter! Sadie is getting so big-love her colors! Fast food and prepared is definitely cheaper but not as good for you! Lunch looked delicious!
As a teen I learned that I liked the crunch of chips, so I replaced it with green peppers. I started changing my diet fast. But since having my daughter I have gone back to my junk. This just reminded me to go back to my healthy eating. Thank you. Awesome job as parents.
You can definitely tell Jake has lost weight, Lucas not so much has he was not ever big. They are both looking so good and there muscles are more defined. Well done to you both on your food and drink regime, training and exercising. TMI Aaron, but well done to you and Crystal on following their meal plan for the day. A healthy day followed by Bella making cookies lol. Blessings to you all.
This is great , I studied over 40vyrs ago dietitian aid , we used the permed system of foods , now its totally changed , I am so happy for the boys setting an example for their siblings and friends , Crystal the older we get the more we learn ! Very well done video 👏😇💪💙💙 🎊🏡
My husband is 24 and has a family history of heart and cholesterol problems. We got his blood work done and talk to a doctor just as a early life check up type deal. Come to find out he already has very High cholesterol and is pre-diabetic. We haven't changed as much as we could, but we did change alot and looking back, it has gotten so much easier to change what we eat, how much and to just be aware. The doctor was willing to not put him on medication because he is young and wants him to learn first and see what parameters he can stay within doing it on his own. I appreciated that alot from a doctor not pushing pills. Well here we are a year later, he has lost 25 pounds by just changing diet. Not drastically but enough and not even adding any exercise. This year's goal is to get moving a little more since we have a pretty good handle on the food part now.
Jake and Luke are looking buff!! My son always says we have no food and then I make a delicious meal and he in is in awe of what I have prepared considering we 'have no food'.
Cheese can be healthy Crystal! Be careful about making foods into fears because you have so many teenagers who can develop eating disorders! I speak from experience. Everything is good in moderation. There is no good or bad foods. Even too much "healthy" can be harmful.
Just putting this out there, I love Flaming Hot Cheetos, never been a Takis fan, but a few years ago I started eating low carb. I found these chips called "Hilo" chips, they have a big mouth on the package eating a chip. They have many different flavors, but my favorite is the spicy puffs, a lot like Flamin Hot Cheeto puffs. They are low carb and come in portion size bags, pretty good on calories too. If your kids still want the chips but you want them to be more on the healthy side these are a really good option.
i caught you flexin lucas, 2:40 hahahahaha but nice tone! you can really see the difference from when he first came to the family and now. he was a little new teenager when he was introduced!
I actually got a raised dog bowl and a boot tray for under it. The water goes into the tray if there is any splashing, but with it being raised a little higher there isn't any pawing at the water bowl.
Awesome job buddy's for doing a beautiful 💞 fixing healthy foods. Love your family and I see Bella coming out of 🐚 shell. I all see that they help work together on things I love that gift of God is coming. Love hugs from Miss Jemey God bless be safe
Over here in Queensland Australia we don't have vending machines at schools we don't have a cafeteria either we have whats called tuckshop from prep to year 6 which that's ages 5-11 that's primary school and they use a paper bag and pre order their meals and at morning tea and lunch there pre ordered meals get sent to each class in a basket. High school is 12-18 year old grades 6-12. The high school kids just walk up to the tuckshop and grab food and pay at the end of the line.
Being aware of nutrition is important--knowing how the body works, what nutrients the body needs in order to function properly, what nutrients do for the body, etc. But I agree with the other comments to not label foods as good or bad. Even chips hold nutritional value. Food is neutral. Don't aim for body positivity, but body neutrality--"I have a body and it can do (fill in the blank)"
Wow after watching this video they have really changed me because now I want to start eating healthy and Jake and Lucas have changed me to start eating healthier.

This year's goal is to get moving a little more since we have a pretty good handle on the food part now.
LOL Mark’s editing of Bella at the end😂😂
Jake and Luke are looking buff!! My son always says we have no food and then I make a delicious meal and he in is in awe of what I have prepared considering we 'have no food'.
Ari---- your hair is looking so good!!
Really nice seeing you bake after hearing u avoided food for years...so good
Cheese can be healthy Crystal!
Jake and Luke are such great young men. So mature but still sweet. You are a lucky mom!!! They will take amazing care of you one day
i caught you flexin lucas, 2:40 hahahahaha but nice tone! you can really see the difference from when he first came to the family and now. he was a little new teenager when he was introduced!
Was Jack trying to hold his arms in a position to try to make his muscles💪 look bigger than what they really are 😂😂😂😂
❤❤❤❤❤Thank you for sharing your video with us and have a great evening!
I actually got a raised dog bowl and a boot tray for under it. The water goes into the tray if there is any splashing, but with it being raised a little higher there isn't any pawing at the water bowl.
Great job boys!! I would love to see a their meal plan for a week.
I live in Worcestershire in the UK and couldn't help bit laugh at lucas saying Worcestershire sauce 🤣🤣🤣
I’d bet if the boys made a fitness/nutritional channel there’d be a larger population of young adults who would follow along.
Awesome job guys. Love seeing them cook. This would be a great channel idea.......💖😃
Hahahaha! Funny about the results of eating asparagus !!
Also loved the cookie making ending! Fun/creative!
Loved the vlog
I'm so proud of Jake & Lucas!
Thanks for the laugh, Mark.
I don’t like Avacado but this whole meal day is a vibe and I want to replicate it.
Jake and Lucas are the cutest ‼️♥️♥️ I wish only the best for them 😍👍😍
Yum for the cookie baking Bella! 🍪 That was as much work as the good meal prep by the boys. 🍔 Salut Savannah! 🇫🇷
