I am an elderly Appalachian raised woman. I've been hearing great bluegrass all my life. This is this real thing. I am in awe of their talent and joy. It's a blessing to hear great music carried on by such great musicians.
I just listened to a half dozen renditions of this song. These two boys sing this song better than the original or anyone else. They are going to be very hot in bluegrass over the years to come. Can’t wait.
I agree, I think I just watched 18 videos of this from Vince gill, to tony rice, to random dudes in a hotel lobby, and Carson just has the tone dead on. I appreciate the high note he hits in the end, the crowd did too. Tony rice is my 2nd fav.
Am not a Blue Grass fan. Hot Jass of New Orleans and Chicago; But for those who despair as my olde Mtn. partner does of the loss of Flat and Scruggs, Stanley Bros, and Bill Monroe and all the old timers...GIVE A LISTEN!!
Nice band altogether except banjo doesn't look happy. Give us a smile boyo. The base fellow could do with a bit more cheer too. I Play this Video frequently just to see the happy, enthusiastic face of P Barker and Carson Peters.
Tyler here on Banjo here is every bit the great musician as Presley and Carson!! Have heard them all in Blue Grass including great Banjo Players in the Jass Tradition such as Clancy Hayes with the Yerba Buena Jazz band of the Lou Waters San Francisco School of West Coast Traditional jazz!! Keep going Tyler....you are one of the emerging greats!!
Hey Tom...Tyler ( banjo ) is more interested in concentrating on the song and being perfect on his instrument playing, than smiling like a Bikini Model ! I prefer to listen and enjoy their musical talent, and NOT the smile or lack of on their faces.
I'd like to know when (i.e., the next date & time) that Carson Peters and his band are going to be playing up in Galax. Galax VA is about a 2 1/2 hour ride from my home in North Carolina, so it would be a nice ride up there on my motorcycle to hear them!

Four great musicians there.
Love seeing these two fellas perform together. I’m 20 and have always loved this kind of music and you guys sure do an outstanding job! Keep it up!

These boys bring such energy and fun to their Bluegrass sound. Wish them all success in the days to come.
Carson finally grew into his fiddle. Hadn't see him in awhile. Great as always.

Super happy kid! I should know, he's the banjo player in our band and he's the best!
