I played this game when I was 12/13… a lot of good memories.. it also helped me take my mind of my dad dieing in 2004… amazing it’s still going… I’ve signed up and created a new account.. hope to be back playing soon.
Sorry to hear about your dad. I can appreciate the memories that this games holds, as my dad and I used to play together. We set up a server in 2010 playing 24/7 SF Snakeplain, but sadly he died a few months later. This was such a powerful escapism, which I'm so glad is still going. That's great that you managed to download it! The most players are on evening times, from around 6pm Europe or 6pm EST. :) I hope to see you in game soon!
@@Mr_Gunman-GB Why tho ? like im not trying to hate or anything, but there are multiple games that are like this and are honestly just better. I would totally understand if its like a niche game nobody knows about and never got a sequel
@@Kiwoeoe No problem, matey. :) Nostalgia is a main reason why people still play this 22 year old game (me included). For most, this was their first ever online game which introduced them to the world of gaming. There are some players that first played this game when they were 10/11, and still play every now and then. Yeah, there's better newer games, but this is just a much loved simple pleasure. America's Army had 20 million players, across all of the versions of the game throughout the years, so it was quite a mainstream thing in its day. :)
@@Mr_Gunman-GB Oh well yeah i guess. Nostalgia is one hell of a thing. I know AA ive played it my self back then. i remember couple years later Insurgency Modern Infantry Combat came out, the mod so me and my friends just played that then haha :D well alright then. Enjoy the Nostalgia trip :)
Nice! AA is still alive! I only recorded this game play three days ago. :) We play America's Army on 2.5 Assist every day, and you can download 2.5 Assist here, aao25.com/forum/index.php, at the tab at the top of the forum. You'll also need to make an account to play, using this link here. auth.aa25.org/register/.
Nice, we often play Border, especially when it's a full server going! You can download 2.5 Assist here, aao25.com/forum/index.php, at the tab at the top of the forum. You'll also need to make an account to play, using this link here. auth.aa25.org/register/. Hope to see you in game! :D
Yeah, it's my old ass PC... I can only get a free to download screen recorder on it, which only does 15 fps. I could bump it up on the video editor, but I can't be bothered most of the time. 🤣
Hi, this is a really old game called America's Army 2. This was developed by the US military back in 2002 as an aid to help recruitment into the military. The US military stopped supporting the original version of the game (this version played in the video) back in 2011, and support for the newest version (America's Army Proving Grounds) stopped in 2022. This game had a really large player base back in the day, and the old 2.5 version of America's Army now has a fan-made auth server called 2.5 Assist, to keep this much loved 22 year old game online. :) A large number of us die hard fans play America's Army on 2.5 Assist every day, and you can download 2.5 Assist here, aao25.com/forum/index.php, at the tab at the top of the forum. You'll also need to make an account to play, using this link here. auth.aa25.org/register/. Check out my other videos on my channel as I have a ton of America's Army gameplay videos that I've recorded. :)
@@meerduck3783 yeah thats just sad at this point. Like i would get it if there would be no alternatives... but there are like at least a dozen alternatives for such a game ...

Who the fu*k playing games like this in 24? XDDD
There’s still lots of us that play, there’s over 2,000 active player accounts on this game, not bad for a 22 year old game. :)
