Ex mechanic, rider and ocd like you wouldn't believe! your builds are some of the cleanest most in depth I've seen online some great work man sending some appreciation from the other side of the pond 🇬🇧
Lol you sound like me. OCD hard 🤦🏻♂️ but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Retired mechanic but still restoring my own cars and motorcycles, about to but myself a 2007 yz 250 thats low hours, but im sure il strip it and well.. you know how it goes 😂 from Australia 🇦🇺 buddy Happy New years!
I’d kill to find a channel that did full blown video tutorials on all things dirt bike mechanic related. Like how to rebuilt a top end, carb, pulling bearings, etc. with explanations on why you do certain things etc. Would be so helpful
@@islanddoggear I understand American, but I make you sound feral and savage like a south American! Just trying to teach you a bit of etiquette, you'll go further.
Great vid , no one was talking the whole time and it was at perfect speed to watch and not get bored , subtitles were nice touch too , I watched this while I ate thanks bro
I just went through my ‘16 with a comb and yours makes mine look like its been thrashed with that vapor blasting. I would love one of them some day for builds.
Man nice video! Building bikes is so rewarding, I just rebuilt an 02 CR250 and enjoyed rebuilding it just as much as I like to ride it!! Me and that vapor blaster would be best friends if I had one!
The colors scheme is amazing; the rims, plastics, pipe, triple clamps, and bars on top of all that perfectly restored parts look crazy good! Good job man, love the content👍
Im about to find me a similar year/frame of yz250 and do a stock-mod build...only new bike on my local yamaha showroom floor is the yz250X...super sick build you did🤘
You just got a new sub! Great content and high quality! Do you vapourblast your engines fully assembled? If so, what do you do to prevent any media to enter the engine. I see this topic all the time on forums and fb. Greetings from norway.
Thanks for the sub, glad you enjoy the content! ^^ Regarding the motor blasting. Yes, it was blasted whole. I take great care in blocking all the areas that can get media/water before blasting. If you do it right it can be done!
@@MotoScrub I'm going to look at a 07' yz250 that's all OEM and never rilly had maintenance done to it...$4K for the bike then gonna strip it down/rebuild n rip to 99% of your build n parts🤘
Damn bro I don't even want to know what you paid for the Yamaha hardware. Usually go to the hardware store. I went to the dealership to get clutch basket bolts for a Fireblade. They were 4.95 a piece and not even hardened?!?!!?🤣🤣🤣 Took my ass straight to the hardware store. Even if I got it I'm not giving it to them. Highway robbery. I understand why you do it, just laughed out loud when I seen it all sitting there in a pile. The first question I asked myself was "how much did that cost"!? Excellent work buddy. Love to see other human beings take the time in what they do and do it right
The bolts are from "Spec Bolt". They make model specific kits for engines, body work, etc. They even have different finishes! Much better than the mismatching hardware store bolts 😜
For your 2009. As long as you use the updated airbox (2015+) you can use any 2015+ plastics. Rear fender, side number plates, and shrouds. Front fender and Front number plate were Cycra restyle plastics.
Absolutely love the build! great job on it. I'm very curious though. Did you vapor blast the engine while assembled then just replace the top end? I reached out to a few places to see if it could be done when I was building my rm and they all refused. Is this something you've had good luck with? Again, great work!
Thanks for watching! Yes, the engine was first blasted whole. Then the top end was done afterwards. Have blasted many whole motors, it is critical to block/mask all open areas before blasting.
Hi, you are amazing, I am a mechanic and I wanted to know the name of the tool you used to remove the steering gear. If you have the link, even better, thanks in advance.
Thanks! I believe you are asking about the steering race remover..? Here's the link: www.motosport.com/Motion-Pro-Steering-Head-Race-Puller?variant=MOP00BE-X001-Y001&variant[MOP00BE]=MOP00BE-X001-Y001 Makes the job super easy! Good luck!
Just wonder why you would take out tje wisco for OEM? Wisco makes a better and lighter product less rotating mass faster acceleration. I don't know anything.
The left and right almost always have some kind of small knick or something distinguishable. Even if you did switch them though, the internals are the same left and right. 👍
Wish kids these days understood how having something simple and clean is the way it should be. Not all the over the top flashy garbage.
To each there own man alot of people enjoy building bikes makes them care more about it instead of just beating the crap out of it and destroying it
I’m confused, isn’t this simple and clean. The bike was a clapped out POS prior to the build.

should've left that Wiseco piston in it. Forged pistons are are far superior to the junk OEM ones
Good job👍 . The wiseco piston why Changed with original ?
Customer had just purchased the bike and did not know the condition of motor. Bought new parts for piece of mind 👍🏻
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL 😊
Nice work. Bet that cost a few bucks.
Thats a sik bike. I'd kill for the shop though.
So clean!
hello where can i find the wrench you used to remove the steering bearing? Congratulations for the video. Greetings from Italy

I didn't see much wrong with the old piston. It looked quite new.
The customer was not sure the condition of the motor when they bought it so they wanted to change it for peace of mind. 👍🏻
Great work, What rear brake spring are you using?
Thanks!

clean build , new subscriber here/
Thank you for the sub! Hope you enjoy the videos 😁 🙌🏻
what are those electronic cables on the carboretour?
piękna sztuka
What solvent did you use to clean the frame it came out amazing?!?!
The solvent is any normal cleaning product, nothing special. The frame looks the way it does because it was vapor blasted 👍🏻
❤
WOW!
I have 07' yz125 I was wondering what year plastics are
What do you use to vapor blast
When doing the forks was you not worried about mixing from left too right with some of the internal components?
The left and right almost always have some kind of small knick or something distinguishable. Even if you did switch them though, the internals are the same left and right. 👍
What is name of the shock oil you are using and what is its viscosity level bro
From indonesia
Can someone tell me what year the plastics are meant to fit? I have an 07 that I need to order plastics for and I’d love these.
Either a Yamaha yz125 or a yz250? Please let me know what is the quotation and the price
Good nice
Awesome work!
Thank You! 🙌🏻
Hi. Why do you change the piston? Thanks

What was the setup you used to pull the steering head bearings?
