Berlebach rules, I have one myself. Nothing beats the feel of wood in various weather conditions.

I've barely taken it out with me anywhere, but it's been incredibly useful when I have had it. It's definitely the most stable tripod I have, and actually quite useful to set-up for video or anything else I need to make sure will stay the way I left it, even when the center pole is angled ridiculously.

I hate to be the first to comment but I actually cancelled my early bird Gitzo. The closer I looked at the indiegogo campaign I ethically couldnt do it. I even made a video but didnt have the heart to upload it. When I preordered the Legende there were only 15 left. Then it refreshed and there were 100 again. This cycle went on several times implying it was a marketing move aimed at anxious buyers. I was ok with that, its business. What I wasnt ok with was that the tripods were already manufactured and sold in European markets as far back as 2019, a fact I confirmed with several store owners. The campaign manager for Gitzo even confirmed the tripods are already produced and they will be shipped once the logistics are sorted out. That flat out takes advantage of the crowdfunding platform and is a disingenuous business move. Anyone not familiar with crowdfunding probably doesnt realize the items cannot be returned. Someone at Gitzo is very savvy and realized they could presale 1000's of tripods and they are final sale. Yep no thanks. Enjoy your tripod.

First off, thanks for watching and adding some additional information.
Sometime between when I filmed and posted this (I think either Tuesday or Wednesday?) Gitzo sent an eMail saying that they were expanding the campaign worldwide and were going to reset the Early Bird offers; I can't say if they did it multiple times, but I was surprised how many were left when I checked later.
From what I can tell--well, what gitzo.com says--these are the Traveler Series 1, 4 Column, with a different ball head than the $600 kit. I can see that being worth about $550 in Gitzo price ranges because of the reduced load bearing; I have trouble seeing someone paying a premium for it though (Gitzo seems to have a habit of setting higher-than-market prices for special runs; which I'm not sure whether this is intended to be limited or not).
I wish Gitzo were more clear about a number of things, and honestly it does/did feel like they were making it harder than it should have been to figure-out how the Legende compared to their other offerings; I feel like that should have been much more clear. Also, the "Unlimited Warranty" is never spelled-out on the Indiegogo page, and that bothers me more, as it's fairly bare bones and Lok in his sponsored-by-Gitzo video doesn't go into any details either.
That all said, at $520, you're paying $50 for a Gitzo ball-head over the legs-only GT1545TUS; so generally a good price for someone interested in a Gitzo. I'd like to see Gitzo more generally shift towards maintainability and eco-friendliness; it'd be a good way of distinguishing the brand amongst hotter competition coming-up from lower price points (e.g. Three-Legged-Thing).

@@NottaPro Thanks for the video & info, I may actually get one because i don't have a lightweight travel tripod and it seems like indiegogo doesn't charge me any sales tax when i checkout (13% sales tax for where i live) and they mentioned there won't be any duties. So it's actually a pretty good deal for the Canadians vs buying it at a local store or from B&H.
