I really love Zhi Shu's character development. He learned so much from his past mistakes, now he's even making sure that Yu Shu won't be the same as he was before when he felt jealous. He wants Yu Shu to do the right thing and that's opening up and talking to Hao Mei right away, so she won't get hurt.
I don't get why some think Zhi Shu is mean. In the first season, yes, he definitely had his moments of huge immaturity, but his character development was so well done, and it never compromised his personality. He's just not clingy like Xiun Qin but expresses himself in such a different way. This will forever be the best version of this with the best acting and chemistry of all time.
That's what I'm saying, his character development was so well done because it was not rushed and so realistic. It would've been cringey if his character will have a sudden and complete 180. I love how they made it very evident in this version that he gradually became more and more expressive, gentle, and matured, but his personality will just never be as openly expressive as Xiang Qin's lmao. They are just truly polar opposites 😂

This is underrated but I actually love how Zhi Shu and A-Jin's relationship evolved 🥰 I'd also like to point out ZS's growth, when Yu Shu came to him asking for advice regarding Hao Mei. I love when he told him to ask Hao Mei if he was unsure because that's the simplest and most correct way, well the jerk learned it the hard way lmao. He also shared to YS what he learned from A-Jin. That actually helped the faster development of YS and HM's relationship 🥺
The way he says, “Thank goodness I'm okay” Because if he is okay she will be okay🥺❤He also loves her unconditionally but his way of showing it is different 😂
After the accident Zhi Shu learns how to be vulnerable and weak. He slowly understands Xiang Qin's point of view. On how it feels to be helpless. And since he was vulnerable he appreciates Xiang Qin' care even more. 😍
I don’t know if it’s just me but Zhi Shu’s little gestures at 19:50 made me feel touched and proud because they mean a lot. I really felt like they’ve already come a long way and Xiang Qin’s now living her dream as Zhi Shu’s assistant and partner. This is a real growth indeed. 🥺💗

The way he explained to Yu Shu how he fell inlove with Xiang Qin huhu. My heart. It's evident in this episode that he really fell for Xiang Qin already in their first kiss. The way he also admires his wife's unique ability. His love for Xiang Qin is so evident in the part 2 because he always speak with gentleness to her unlike before. He also reprimand Yu Shu a lot of times whenever he bullies Xiang Qin. Just like what Xiang Qin said Zhi Shu's love has always been about protective even in the ways she don't have any idea. Oh this always make me sad in a way that there's no part 3 for it. 14 yrs yet the love that I have for the Taiwanese version is different. The story still makes me cry, laugh and giddly 💖😍 Sending love all the way from the Philippines
The way he got teary-eyed here 1:07:52 is too much for my heart. Xiang Qin's is his weakness, no matter how much he wants to scold her for doing the report, he just couldn't because of Xiang Qin's reason why she did it. She's so worried and cares so much for him and she just want him to be able to rest. And she just couldn't let anyone disturb his rest because he's just going to be exhausted again. They have too much love for each other, I wanna cry.
This is one of my favorite episodes. Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu's professional and personal characters really developed here. I love how their relationship was strengthen the more patients they have together.

During the surgery, when Zhi Shu told Xiang Qin that he needed her help, it was like a motivation to Xiang Qin and a proof that Zhi Shu needed Xiang Qin to be able to do it. Zhi Shu showed how scared he was to Xiang Qin after the surgery, person like him no matter how skillful and intelligent still has their weakness and fears. He's thankful his wife was with him, and she was thankful her husband was with her. The surgery is a proof that they needed each other, that they are each other's strength. At 1:07:52, have you noticed how teary eyed Zhi Shu was? No matter how much he wanted to scold Xiang Qin for what she did, Zhi Shu appreciated and got touched for her reason behind it. No one can understand Xiang Qin's love and effort more than Zhi Shu. And Xiang Qin also learned something from this episode, she really wanted to assist her husband in work, he is a doctor and she is a nurse. She forgot that she also needed to be his wife, taking good care of her tired husband. And I really like how Zhi Shu also pointed out that it's also his fault because he didn't catch her. I like how they grew as a couple on each episode, for this one they owned up on their mistakes, Zhi Shu as a husband and Xiang Qin as a wife.
What I like about this remake is that they also putted some scenes about Hao Mei (Konomi) and Yu Shu (Yuki) relationship, it shows how their relationship started or how they started dating each other on this drama, this drama truly shows every details of ItaKiss and it is too realistic too natural expressions and acting, everything seems so real! I like it! 💖 If I have som spare time again, i'll definitely watch this over and over again! 🌹

Watched this in my early teenage years and rewatch it more than 10 years later. Love how the chemistry in this old movie and notice so much development in character that I couldn't understand before. At 26:38 when Zhi Shu said he was so scared during the operation, I can't help but remember in s1 when he was still trying to figure out what to do with his life and he said he never had something he wanted that he had to work hard for bec everything was so easy for him. So even if he was always ranking no. 1 in school and doing good in sports and basically everything he did, he never found joy in achieving any of them. And now, look at him. I feel so happy that he found his calling bec as a working adult myself, it's just so sad and hard when you spend your entire life doing something you don't want. He finally found something he is passionate about. And even if he is smart, he still had to study and work hard to become a good doctor. He experienced the hardships a normal person would go through which was something he was lacking before. Aside from wanting to help others, I think being a doctor really fits him bec the work of a doctor is challenging and he needs something that stimulates him and his brain and skills. There is always something about illnesses and the human body that makes every patient different. So when he said that he was scared during the operation, I kinda feel happy that he is finally able to find something that makes him feel all kinds of emotions, even the bad ones. Life is not meant to be all happy and smiles. Otherwise, life will be boring. Sometimes we get scared, we need to work hard, we get tired but we still persevere bec we want it so bad... And after that, when we finally achieve our goals, it will feel more meaningful because of the hard journey we had to go through to get there.
in this ep, i just realized ZS says "its great to be a doctor" and "its great to have a normal/simple life" after sighing reflectively. and i cant help but link that to XQ because XQ was the one who told him that he could be a doctor, which he eventually loved, as when he said the words "its great to be a doctor". and had ZS married hui lan or ziyi in s1, i dont think he would have had a normal/simple life since ziyi is also smart and thinks critically and would therefore have the same worries as ZS as, and hui lan's family are business minded and he would have married under business pretenses and so his home would be an extension of the business. but with XQ, she gives him a space to be who he is truly and is there to support him in other ways he cant manage. HUHUHU

i can image season 3 being about the pandemic and how they overcome daily struggles at the hospital. here in this episode they're still fairly new in the industry. i wonder what it would be like now that they're much older and probably have worked in hospitals for years. they probably have a lot of stories to tell like the surgery incident. i wonder how zhi shu and xiang qin would be doing as medical workers during the pandemic. :( they would probably be just as exhausted as every doctor/nurse :/

以前的電視劇道具用心跟演員都好很多，以前都會做編髮跟每個人造型，也不磨皮到畫面全白，就是有一點瑕疵才看的出來是真實感。鄒紋跟痘痘都是真實感。可能有人會覺得啊金浮誇，好美那對演技青澀。但是真實的國中高中生真的是這樣的啊！2個不善言詞的人，這樣演繹沒有問題。至於啊金⋯我真的有朋友長這樣！哈哈哈大呼小叫的，浮誇講話，真的不誇張

At 26:38 when Zhi Shu said he was so scared during the operation, I can't help but remember in s1 when he was still trying to figure out what to do with his life and he said he never had something he wanted that he had to work hard for bec everything was so easy for him. So even if he was always ranking no. 1 in school and doing good in sports and basically everything he did, he never found joy in achieving any of them.
And now, look at him. I feel so happy that he found his calling bec as a working adult myself, it's just so sad and hard when you spend your entire life doing something you don't want.
He finally found something he is passionate about. And even if he is smart, he still had to study and work hard to become a good doctor. He experienced the hardships a normal person would go through which was something he was lacking before. Aside from wanting to help others, I think being a doctor really fits him bec the work of a doctor is challenging and he needs something that stimulates him and his brain and skills. There is always something about illnesses and the human body that makes every patient different. So when he said that he was scared during the operation, I kinda feel happy that he is finally able to find something that makes him feel all kinds of emotions, even the bad ones. Life is not meant to be all happy and smiles. Otherwise, life will be boring. Sometimes we get scared, we need to work hard, we get tired but we still persevere bec we want it so bad... And after that, when we finally achieve our goals, it will feel more meaningful because of the hard journey we had to go through to get there.

in this ep, i just realized ZS says "its great to be a doctor" and "its great to have a normal/simple life" after sighing reflectively. and i cant help but link that to XQ because XQ was the one who told him that he could be a doctor, which he eventually loved, as when he said the words "its great to be a doctor". and had ZS married hui lan or ziyi in s1, i dont think he would have had a normal/simple life since ziyi is also smart and thinks critically and would therefore have the same worries as ZS as, and hui lan's family are business minded and he would have married under business pretenses and so his home would be an extension of the business. but with XQ, she gives him a space to be who he is truly and is there to support him in other ways he cant manage. HUHUHU
XQ just told here... her ultimate goal is just to love ZS whole heartedly. ❤️

I watched this more than 20 times now, pero kinikilig pa din ako, si Zhi Shu talaga dahilan kung bakit ko pinangarap maging doctor kaso wala budget kaya nag accountant n alang ako 😂😂. 2008 ko to unang napanuod sa ABS CBN since then inulit ulit ko na napanuod ko na ibang adaptation pero the best pa din talaga ang ISWAK &TKA, Love or Bread at Fated to love you ❤❤❤
