This canto is peak, so is the next one, and the latest one too. You’re gonna wanna get your dailies done “Danteh”, so you can level your favorite team to 45, and get the short cut “MDH”(mirror dungeon hard) for getting your weekly rewards in one go, as well as getting a ton of levels. Enjoy the game at your own pace still, hope you have a fun Christmas intermission.
Congrats on beating this Canto! It's one of the biggest difficulty spikes in the game, I'd say. Ah, and to clear up potential confusion: the mini stories are generally a way to tie updates into the lore. For example, new Mirror Dungeon or Refraction Railway updates. Each season, Mirror Dungeon gets changed in a major way and also receives a new name. We are currently on Mirror Dungeon 4 (Mirror of the Wuthering), MD5 should arrive soon as well (though PM announced that they're taking their time this time around to polish it a bit more.) The mini you watched was to announce the release of Mirror Dungeon 3, Mirror of the Lake. Yi Sang's MD was named Mirror of Mirrors. Since Mirror of the Lake is gone already, the mini is essentially outdated info currently. Also, once MD5 releases, it is likely that the requirements for accessing hard difficulty will be pushed forward to post Canto 6, since MD5 will likely be balanced around lvl 50 sinners and you haven't reached that level cap yet. Don't worry too much though as I bet there's still a decent amount of time left until that comes out. Oh right, almost forgot to mention - Mirror Dungeon has (limited) spoiler protection, I believe. Some floor themes are only unlocked after reaching the corresponding story progress, which prevents you from seeing bosses before you see them in the story, from what I understand. However... Normal enemies can still show up ahead of time, so small out of content spoilers can happen. And I'm not sure, but maybe less important mini-bosses can also appear early. Still, there should not be any major spoilers in there.

(Also LOL the 7 Mersaults in one pull staring at you judgmentally)
Good to see you finally learned how to redirect attacks… at the final boss of canto 5. Impressive you made it that far nonetheless, great work executive manager!
Fun Fact: There is a strangely high likelyhood that the song that plays during this and all previous mili songs are actually happening diegetically, so yes, dante and the rest of the sinners are hearing and listening to PEAK as they fight for their lives.

Also sidenote: the Sinners' own EGOs only reflect what kind of people they are or what they consider themselves to be like. Their personal rooms in the bus are just regular rooms catering to their personal wants and needs, in a literally, actually endless corridor full of doors to anywhere, Matrix style.

Still hasn't been topped to yet, but people just think the new thing is better. The scene from when you beat Ahab till Ishmael throws the harpoon into the heart is still hands down my favorite scene
The production quality certainly goes up with each Canto, though. I also prefer Canto V over 6 and 4, but Canto 7 was just amazing and is currently my favorite.
@oatmeal3919 I liked 7 more than 6. Actually people think I troll, but I actually don't like Canto 6. I think it really falls apart when we get to the basement. The whole 3rd act is just corny to me
