One time I was walking the town and 2 knees passed me by at eye level. I looked back and once he got about 10 feet away I realized it was Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Since then, I have never questioned the stature of any celebrity. I only DREAM of Conan's knees should I have the fortune of seeing him around.
I love that Ted basically repeats Andy's earlier observations about older men wearing scarves to cover up neck & chin fat when Conan talks about his scarf to both of them!
It's great to hear that Conan's kids enjoy his attempts to relate to them. He always jokes about how his wife and kids resent him, so it's nice to finally hear the truth. ^_^
I remember how on Seinfeld, George always compared himself with Ted Danson. It was hilarious and surprisingly, quite relatable with many people in real life.
Celebs are a strange animal to encounter in public. Some don't want to be pestered; some are actually put off if you aren't WOWED by their presence; and some actually look uncomfortable, wondering whether or not you're going to acknowledge them. Oh, yeah, I should also mention that some of them are terrific people to meet. I once stood alongside the late Peter Falk in Westwood at a curb waiting for a light to change, and he chatted with me very amiably for a minute. At least I had the pleasure of telling him how much I'd treasured his work over the years. I only realized when I got home that I'd met a legend. A piece of history. Kinda like when shock sets in! But, ultimately, who knows what you celebrities want? Some wanna tell you to stay on your own side of the street, others yearn for your attention and look bumbed when they don't get it. I LOVE Conan and Andy, however, and who knows what a babbling idiot I'd be meeting them?
as it transitions back and forth between split screen, I keep thinking one of them just left the call until I hear their voice or they come back on screen again. xD
i am so glad that ted kept his hair since that was the most important thing for his character on cheers. having watched it when i was young it would be very disturbing to me watch him go bald :-). oh, and conan, that bandana looks bad ass on you!

I"ve been watching seasons 1-5 in Cheers, and I'm struck by his extreme talent. Only during those years did we see Sam's sweetness and charm; in the following seasons, he was kind of one dimensional without Diane.
I LOVE Ted Danson, he just gives off immaculate vibes and I want him to be my granddad.
