With all due respect to the Doctor, that rendition has always seemed gimmicky to me. Yours is heartfelt and real. This is the first time I’ve ever took these lyrics seriously. It’s a great song and you put it there. Glad I ran across this. Love the Epi also!
How so? which part is unnatural? the checking the door for kids to come through? no makeup? slightly out of tune guitar? I literally sat outside when I had a moment of quiet and recorded a song I like on an iPhone. You can say you don't like it but you think of another reason.
