    i have seen a fused bezel created by another artist but they previously bezeled the stone then, made a fused band and wrapped it around the bezel wire and soldered it to the backplate. I prefer the method you demonstrated here as it creates a better bond with the backplate. Thanks Benny for this amazing tutorial!!!

    Just last week I started experimenting with this style. Thanks for showing your process. I appreciate the reminder to file down the tops of the bezel.
    I’ll get back to my piece soon!
    I love your commentary! You are hilarious.

    How do you deal with firescale when you heat stuff so much?
    Do you just cover it with oxidation?

    • @boomjewelrydesigns
      @boomjewelrydesigns  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @JustME-ft4di it takes sanding until u get past the firescale. Sometimes more or less. Its super annoying. I use firescoff, or denatured Alcohol and boric acid mix to fire coat before soldering. No tactic is 100% for me. Also argentium silver is also another tactic, which is .935

      I have not seen a fused bezel before. You didn't mention whether you annealed it after putting it through the rolling mill, but that might make it easier to bend if you forgot (like I usually do)

      @kathynoordsij2263 i did anneal! But the thickness was such that it was still a bit difficult. I made it look harder than it was because im clumsy. 🙂
