Use tongs when using paper towels to absorb hot liquids. Have a glass bowl ( I use my glass mixing bowl) to put the hot paper towels in. I love using the paper towels to soak up hot oil or grease. God bless y’all

My bestie is an esthetician, and I've helped out in her spa before, I think if I recall correctly, she says the first one is always the most difficult, but it's easier after that - so don't give up Jake! I'm sure Hannah already told him all of that, but I kind of wanted to chime in and back her up. :) Halie, the hack I learned for draining the grease from meat is to put foil down in your sink, then strain the meat, letting the grease fall into the foil. Then you just fold the excess foil over to dispose of it.

Regarding Christmas gifts, I think a much better idea would have been to have given gift cards and money and have all the teen and adult kids shop for their own gifts. Then have one adult take the 4 middle boys out and Crystal or Grandma take Evie and Aurora (and Jamie, if she didn't go with one of the other adult kids) to pick out their own gifts, like they did for the sibling gift exchange. Then if their first choice(s) aren't available, it's up to them to decide whether they want to save their money and buy it when it comes back in stock or choose something else.
When we brown hamburger meat, we use a strainer to get rid of the grease. Another hack,that I may have gotten from you/Tristan, is to put a foil cup in the sink drain to make it easier to dispose of the grease.

I think what could also help with shower is a hard door. Not a curtain. They always just blow the cold air in. Or when to close to you, stick to your body. Everything will get sorted soon. For the grease hack, use your spatula/spoon to push paper towels into grease. If theses a lot spoon some out into a can if you opened veggies or a cup a then put into trash when it hardens up. Works great.
The hack I used to get oil out of a pan is to get a large cup or a bowl. Fill it with cold water. Pour the grease in there to cool it off skim it and throw it away. It keeps you from getting burned

I've used paper towels for years & years to get rid of the grease. I usually put a bag in the sink & throw the used paper towels in it until it cools down. I also use tongs to hold the paper towels so that I don't burn my fingers.

Put a collander inside another pan the same size. Pour meat a n d grease in the Callander until grease drips off. Then to make sure most of grease is drained, put collander in sink and rinse meat with hot water and you"ll have almost grease free meat.scrape out grease from other pan when it starts hardening or cloudy.
