OK so a sales rep goes to a house where the crew didn't show up, reads an insulation manual and does the whole job by himself, with no training, no experience, no tools (I guess if the crew didn't showed up, neither did the tools), no licence, no insurance, no idea of what he was doing. And the result is marvelous! Please don't make me laugh, I just had dinner.

But, how could someone install without tools? Quite a bit of tools you need to be a Roofer, and totally different set of tools to perform metal roofing. I'm guessing he showed up with a long enough ladder, and just happened to be driving a truck with a ladder rack.. and tools of course, because he's a sales guy, they usually carry tools.. LOL

Now instead of looking cool, selling the house in 5-7 years at a loss for the cost of the roof - you won’t ever get a dollar for dollar return for that roof, take that saved money & invest it & get a 200% return over 30 years.
You are correct. But you can also just think of an idea for an app, get a loan, make the app, and become rich. So you honestly don't even have to work hard for success. Just have a great idea and a plan and follow through. (Talking from self experience)

When asked for a quote he would take a pencil and a scrap of paper out of his pocket and do some quick figuring..he had a price in a couple of minutes.
