What an amazing video! I've been to Fiji and Palau, but would give anything to see what you have documented here. Awesome footage - very impressive!!

Many thanks for the kudos :).
The clip is an amalgamation of three dives at Crystal Bay, the first two being slightly disappointing, since there were no Mola around, but the third dive was a great payoff for our perseverance, since we dropped in right on top of the two creatures you see in the movie.
Bali is a great destination for both under- and above water activities, and should be on any diver's wish list.

Thanks. The Mola are quite impressive close up (the .56 wide angle lens I use doesn't do them justice). We're kinda lucky those territorial Clownfish aren't the same size, otherwise we'd all be fish snacks.

Hi WesternRoo, thanks for sharing this video of your dives in Crystal Bay!
I am part of a sunfish research project going on around Nusa Penida Island and Bali at the moment -
    facebook.com/SunfishResearch?ref=hl.
We are trying to collect side-on photos of molas to identify individuals. You've got some great shots of the molas here!
Would you like to help our research by providing the data that go with this dive? It would be a massive help to us.
I understand this video was taken a while ago but if you keep a log or can find the information that would be sooo much appreciated!
From the video it looks as if you saw 3 mola, would you be able to help us clarify which molas are the same fish?! Did you see molas only on Day 2? Any info would be great but if possible we are specifically looking for the following information:
    • Date(s) of dive(s) molas were seen
    • Time you saw each mola/ or the start time of your dive:
    • Approx depth of each mola:.
    • The coldest temperature of the dive(s) molas were seen.
    • A name for your molas! (If your mola turns out to be a new individual on our database it will be officially given the name you write here - we will contact you if your mola is named)
Thanks so much! I hope to hear from you!
    All the best,
    Jenny
