    The brilliance and amazing engineering going into improving the Amiga this many decades later is simply inconceivable.

    Thanks to Gadget for a nice summary of these modules. To add some info:
    The advanced programming menu unlocks more options when you go to program them. You can partial program a slot which allows you to change part of a mega ROM (like on a Master where OS, BASIC, filesystem etc is in one 128KB mega image).
    The GPIO control is useful for software development. You can control the RESET of the machine from your makefile so build, hold in reset, program, release reset all in one click on the PC/Mac.
    8-bit machines need an adapter - no smarts just a pin-pin adapter.
    I do have a few of the USB micro boards but not many. They are 5 or 10x for £2 delivered on eBay.
    Documentation is a work in progress but the menu is pretty self explanatory so have a play.
    Email me via my website, Gadget's Discord, exxos or stardot forum.

    I love the fact people are still supporting older systems, I just got my GAMEBOY Original Bivert Chipped, it looks amazing now.
    Not only that people still making games, it seems mainly for the ATARI but still awesome.

    This looks basically same product as Keir Frasers Blue pill Kickstart switcher but with the STM32 built into the PCB.. Very neat!

    Honestly, I would have just soldered a right angle header on to that... Or a regular header at a right angle (it's not that hard just lay the pins over the pads, it works fine).

    When do you will get them in stock again?

      I don't speak for boobip, but I would assume it could be around summer time this year (2022).

    It's been a while, but I'm curious if it would work in a CD32 🙂

      Yes, it should do - but from what I understand these aren't available to buy atm. I think due to IC shortages maybe...

    Unfortunately he doesn’t make them anymore 😔

    • @GadgetUK164
      @GadgetUK164  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      =( I guess it might related to the parts being too expensive or hard to obtain atm!

    • @dennisraadschelders6821
      @dennisraadschelders6821 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, Chris stated the the CPLD where near impossible to obtain. This was the main reason. Very unfortunate, it would have fitted nicely in my new assembled 500++ with chrystal case who was a joy to build btw. Can recommend it as an Amiga fan.

      @GadgetUK164  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dennisraadschelders6821 I don't think he's using a CPLD on this - but an ARM based MCU? It's a while since I looked at it!

    Eventually, someone will program FPGAs to emulate the entire machines...

      You haven't heard of MiSTer?
      (and minimig before that)

    • @GadgetUK164
      @GadgetUK164  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hehe, yes - it has long since been done! The Mister (DE10 Nano) can do this with many systems and arcade boards!

      @@GadgetUK164 Heck, you have the Spectrum Next, which is not only a ZX Spectrum on an FPGA, but an ENHANCED ZX Spectrum on an FPGA.

      @@TheTurnipKing Pfft, The MiSTer does the Next and the Amiga, plus a whole bunch more :)

    • @BertGrink
      @BertGrink 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheTurnipKing It´s my understanding that the Spectrum Next is even capable of being configured as e.g. an Amstrad CPC, or a BBC micro, and that these configurations are well under way.
      I´ll know more about this when i receive my own Next later this year.
