"why would I want to befriend my own children? That's for hippies and those with low self-esteem" That....that would explain alot about my own father's mindset actually.
I don't know I like the original Reginald. Say what you want I do believe you did love his children he was a sucky parent though. But I think he did love them in his own way.
@LegionIvory i mean the world was ending and he knew that he's gonna reset the universe and everyone will be back ,he's an alien so that was his thinking process i doubt he would've killed them if the universe didn't reset because it's not beneficial to him and them
It was a shame that Reginald didn't become a good father in the end, but at least it didn't come out of completely nowhere. Manipulation and lying are tactics usually employed by him. And in the end, it really gives us that gut punch feeling like we the audience were betrayed. We were really invested in the story and felt that pain, which I don't think would have worked if he continued to remain good. So I believe him remaining the bad guy was good narrative wise.
As a possibility, maybe in this upcoming Season 4, Reginald Hargreeves could potentially learn what it means to be a good father (He may have had a start here) but also learn what it means to be human altogether. I'm honestly expecting Hargreeves to be the main antagonist of Season 4, but hopefully, there are chances here and there where he truly cares for his adoptive children (Both Umbrella and/or Sparrow Academies altogether).
The sad thing is that he actually apologised to Klaus. It probably was a good bit of manipulation, but at the same time he seemed to genuinely grow to care for Klaus. I think it would be a lot more interesting if Reginald actually DID care for Klaus, because it means that he still chose to sacrifice a son he cared for to achieve his goals. Making Reginald a man who was capable of being a good father but decided it wasn't worth the effort, or chose to put his goal above the son who he cared for, is so much more tragic than him just manipulating Klaus and being a 100% evil asshole the whole time.
The only thing missing was that scene at the wedding, where Klaus asks Reggie to smile to appear more accessible to others, but ends up making him look even more machiavellian lmao.
I think he didn't let Klaus in the tunnel to save him from the torture he was so willing to let his other children endure 😂😅I fuckin love this chaotic duo
I think actually is just his obsession with 7. He said "there must be seven", and they were nine, so he killed Luther and didn't allow Klaus in (that plus the fact that Klaus could talk to Luther and tell everybody that Reginald killed him, not any kind of accident)
I feel like Reginald actually caring for Klaus is far more interesting. It would be cool if we found out he actually planned to bring Klaus back in the new universe, so he could have the son with the most potential he grew to care for with Abigail, and then Klaus messed it all up by being smart just like his father and finding a loophole to come back after the Kugelblitz.
I'm so sad about how the season ended up, they were such a good duo. Klaus was so nice about giving him a second chance and even repeatedly called him "dad" throughout the season, and Reggie just left him to die.
what the umbrella & sparrows need to remember is they'll never improve their capabilities if they don't have an acute understanding of how incredibly incompetent and deeply disappointing they are.
Too bad that as smart as Reginald is he knows Fuqall about how psychology works apparently. Helpful to know for proper manipulation if you wanna raise the kids to better work toward the goals you want. :D
@@Ghost-dh1it I thought klaus revived both himself and Luther? That was the whole reason they were in the afterlife together . Then the universe got reset after they came back and confronted Reginald
@@JBoggess No Klaus cant revive people besides himself just call them like when he calls the dead soldiers ghost at begging of season 2 or Ben at end of season 1

@@licardooooooo1891 Technically, They knew about Jennifer but not how she or Ben died. Reginald put false memories (sans Victor since he wasn’t there) into their heads so they couldn’t question his authority.
I approve of this-
love that line "you were totally vulnerable. I could have taken everyone of your organs"
My favorite
"you were a terrible father!"
"yes picked that up, thank you."
😂
love the way he said terrible in that scene
hes lowkey hilarious

Those pills were the best thing that ever happened to Reginald.

I will admit that five is the most like him though.. well other than Ben.
@@christyshultz6443 Yes, he loved them so much he had no problem trying to kill them all, after actually killing Luther.

classic father Sir Reginald
No wonder he only called them by their numbers

the confused “whyyyyyyy” after Reginald talks about the potentiality of removing his organs gets me every time I swear 😅😅😭😭😂
reggie's "MUST BE THE MONAYYYY" will live in my head rent-free
Is it in this video?
That and the "you are horrendously deranged......... Sit😀"

rob and colm’s chemistry is actually insane this was my fave plot line of season 3

Their bonding was so good, too bad it doesn't last since Reginald was really not human 🥲
That's xenophobic
the interaction between Reginald and Klaus is the major highlight of season 3

The scenes they had together were hilarious
I don't know five and Lila are well on their way to actually being friends and he killed her parents.
It is a little weird to hear Reginald call the kids by their names
At least he gets annoyed enough to acknowledge that there is children.
My favourite scene with him had to be the must be the money scene
Reggie: Do you trust me?
Klaus:,.... * smiles * Yeah, I trust you..
