For road braking try using the rear as your predominate brake , of course you then back up the stop with a good amount of front brake . So you`ll be opposite to braking a solo bike . And for cornering you ride it like a quad bike , by shifting your weight to the inside of a corner or high side on a slope the bike will pull up in a straight line and corner flat . Sounds a lot but your own eye /hand /butt co ordination will have it spot on from the get go . You`ve got a really good useful bike . Keep it for life .
Sweet Bike! Started life as a 650cc BMW in the late 30s for the German army into WWII. That bike was the German version of the Jeep, and did all kinds of towing and offroad work. Factory was in the soviet occupation zone at the end of the war and the soviets moved the entire factory east of the Ural mtns (You-ral) in 1946. The Russians upgraded the bike to a 750 and continued making essentially the same bike, with modifications, for ~70 years.
Very nice Bobby,i have watched several videos on them,pretty tough bike and awesome off road with the optional 2 wheel rear drive,looking forward to your videos with it,have fun and stay safe.
Bobby get the upgraded fuel injection, I did on my 15 and it is a world of difference also make sure the toe in on the side car is enough, you will find when set right it won't really pull to the right when accelerating. If you are ever in the Savannah area when I'm working at Gulfstream Mon-Thurs and staying on my 41 ft Morgan or Aiken SC, I live on a grass airstrip, 4SC7, hit me up and I'll do the adjustments it's quick and easy to do. Make sure the rods for the rear brake are adjusted for the right bias, but the big thing I've noticed is most of the ones I've ridden haven't had enough toe in and it wears you out, it should ride like a 4 wheeler when set up right plus it reduces the wear on the pusher tire. These are great bikes with a little sorting, plus you can take two women with you.

That's pretty cool Bobby! I have to admit I used to love riding motorcycles until I finally caved in to the reality that I might as well be invisible. The cool factor with the retro look and the sidecar really does make it look fun and entertaining though. For my Sprinter-based Class C I ended up going the Fiat 500 route, towing flat 4. It was a car I had always vowed I'd never own or drive. I mean, it looks like a clown car, right? Turns out I like driving it way more than my Tesla. Nothing like a handbrake to have some fun around corners then the 5 speed manual turbo to go zoom, zoom, zoom through winding curves. ;) Enjoy and stay safe! Long time viewer - it has 2 differentials 1 on each drive wheel but there non slip , description for the handling is Quirky which suits you to a T your going to love it - safe travels for you & yours and more flying videos please .... oh they have trailer hitches available so you can use the Ural to move your trailer around the camp site
Now I know what the solar panel is for. Looks fun, but I’d rather trailer my CVO Ultra Glide and ride two up. Plus my Ultra Glide is liquid cooled and Harley always has an awesome sound! LOL. RIDE SAFE!!!
Good Choice, Bobby! I've admired these for years. Better, way more interesting and fun, but perhaps less practical maintenance wise than a SMAX or XMAX. You mentioned FortNine, so I know you did your homework. The trunk will work great for your tools and shop manuals :). It's the Stearman of motorcycles :). Best of luck dude. Oh, BTW, the clean shaven, mustachio, beard thing is disconcerting. Almost every video is different. (sailing doodles fan as well) Personally, I think beard works best for you, more piratey :).

I just saw a review of a 2021 URAL bike (on TH-cam) and I suspect the upgrades would make a better trike to buy. Costs maybe the reason to start with a 2014 but the ride and performance factors for me to suggest buying the 2021. Have fun you two!
My suggestion is do what I did on my trike; install a side mount fan to your auxiliary switch. When the engine heats up you hit fan and it will drop the temp significantly. (Careful how you aim the fan, other you dry roast your leg).
wow nice. i can now understand why you need a motor bike with a side card . i'm wondering to they have a electric version. it's sad its got some steering issues etc. glad you. have a nice trailer as well. i'm wondering if Tesla will produce something similar with with a side car . a self driving auto pilot version would be amazing

Cool? Sure is different. Will it fit on the new boat LOL. Great choice and will be some funny content. Hope Steph likes it but if not good for you for not allowing FFLF. That would be female fun limitation factor. Love all your videos.
And the shin guards are for cold weather riding. Wind chill on your legs, thighs are killer in freezing weather. Your electric vest and gloves don't work down there :). And a two wheel drive Ural is made for freezing weather... Been there, on other things, done that. Rocks are not really an issue.
You must of had an early one, mine has never left me stranded since I purchased it in 2016, yes I did wipe a cylinder out but only noticed it because it idled funny, was an easy fix
With a 5 gallon tank the extra gas can will process never be needed for the bike. Looks like some fun but in the long run I wonder if you’ll find the sidecar more of a hindrance.
Is that White Rock Lake in the background? I had to ask…I was there for the first time about a month ago. Who knows, you could have been filming around the days I was there.
Cool setup. Not sure about the reliability of those Ural motorcycles. The fact that she comes with a trailer would have me worried 🤣... enjoy the ride.

Bobby, Bobby, Bobby. I lived and travelled in a motor home for a little over 10 years so I know about tow vehicles. They are to get you to a medical center, drug store, grocery store, package store quickly and safely through a poring rain storm or in extreme heat or cold. In the best of weather you should be able to take your significant other to town, see the sights, have lunch and then load the tow vehicle with 3-4 cases of beer, a case of liquor and wine, case of soda/mixer plus a weeks supply of groceries. I don’t believe you can even take that thing safely on a freeway. A tow vehicle (like a cool Jeep, roof and doors come off) should be towed 4 wheels down because trailers are a pain in the you know what. Some resorts will not let you take a trailer to your site they provide a special parking area at a cost of course. Finally safety. It’s one thing for you to take your life in your hands but are you really going to ask someone to get into the side car. Pulls to the right, pulls to the left, hard to steer in two wheel drive. Please!

I’m more of a two wheel guy, but Ural’s are pretty cool. I use to live in the Colleyville area and talked to a guy with an OD green version.
I am pretty sure I saw Bobby and Steph, as well as this bike at Fall Creek Falls State Park tonight.

We have a Chevy Sonic Turbo RS 6 speed as a toad. It is fun, fast and can be worked on anywhere in the US.

The sidecar inherently causes excessive 'side torque' wear on tires and frame. Perfect for slow trips and smooth roads around campsite, I guess.
The sidecar's wheel is a driven wheel.
They have been making these since the 1930's... With machine guns even :).
