I take my used needles with me to my drs appointments and drop them in the sharps containers there in the exam room. I also have health concerns and when I can’t sew, I am saaaaaad. You can always find your machine vids on TH-cam, that how I learned.
I like that! I did not think about dropping needles in the doctor's office. Needle box! That's cool. Trust me... I get sad too when I can't sew. I am going to look online and also call Brother for help.
I too was intimidated by a serger. I kept using picking shears until my husband convinced me to get a serger. So I bought a used one with no manual. Luckily I found one online. I just sat read it step by step and I haven't looked back now I can't see myself making another item without it.

Yes, playing DVDs is a challenge. I bought a cheap DVD player from Amazon that plugs into a USB port on my computer and, voila, good to go!!! I don't remember how much it cost but it was pretty cheap. You will love your serger once you get used to it!
Oh you do make me chuckle 🤣. I hate printing PDFs and I don't think I'll ever change 😅. Unless it's a baby item or a t shirt then I make the exception 😉. It's so hard having a channel, sewing but then not allowed to show it for fear of spoiling surprises. Lovely photos of your family and that gorgeous outfit ❤. Hope you have a better week this week. Never feel under pressure to sew if you don't feel up to it. We would watch you happily if you had nothing to show, ever!! Great idea on those needles 👏🏼. Have a good week x❤x

Congratulations on getting your serger. Once you get going with it you will absolutely love it. Just use your book that came with it and just do one page at a time and concentrate on that. You will be searching along before you know it I remember how afraid I was of my first serger

Oh you’re going to love using a serger! Although you can certainly make clothes entirely on a regular machine, having a serger to sew knits and to finish seams is a total game changer. Have a great weekend! 💞

You have a really nice sewing room and your serger is making me want a new one.😊 In case no one has already mentioned it. You can change the thread buy tying it off instead of rethreading the entire thing each time you need to change the color.
