What's not to love about Nick Chubb? What a joy it's been to root for him as a Browns fan. If he can stay healthy for the rest of his career--and finish his career with the Browns--he will go down right next to our other legendary RB, Jim Brown. How fitting for J.B. to have been the one announcing Chubb to the Browns too. Poetic justice.
Just came to say, I forgot about the draft, it sent goosebumps through my whole body. It’s like Jim Brown himself knew, his bowling ball reincarnation. If the Browns can win the big one, he’d go from a legend to a god in Cleveland.
I still remember that first episode of hard knocks when he was in Cleveland airport picking up his luggage at the start of rookie minicamp and someone was like, "Hey, are you a football player?"... To go from that to a Browns legend is pretty special.
A lot o people don’t know this, but on the day of the draft when cleveland was on the clock the great Jim Brown told Haslams to select Nick Chubb! Later when Brown was sled why he wanted Chubb he said all the hype around Saquan Barkley was nice “But Nick Chubb is the only Back like me…” and to be honest I thought that while he was at Georgia. We haven’t even his best yet cause his line stays hurt, imagine what he could do behind a healthy all pro line! I love Garrett but Chubb is the best player on the Browns and I say this because Garrett only has to beat 1-2 men to sack a qb but Chubb has to bust through an entire defense to average 5.6yds per carry, a feat that is nearly impossible on the pro level for almost every running back in the NFL! One thing I’ve noticed is that Wilkes gets pushed around a lot and so does Hudson, I think Wilkes should move inside in place of Hudson and the rookie Jones should take that left end spot because Chubb and Watson would greatly benefit from it! I do Ave one major concern, the repeated wobbling passes thrown by Watson and the lack of crisp velocity on his passes which cause the receiver to wait for the ball to get there, Cooper had a touch down during the chiefs game if he didn’t have to wait for that wobbly ball to arrive! I’m very proud of the improvement Schwartz has made with the defense! Both Emerson & Newsome looked phenomenal and so did both safeties Thornhill & MacLeod! I wasn’t impressed with ZaDarius Smith he played about the same as Clowney used to do which is mediocre, I think Okobowinko should start over Smith. The rookie Ika played great this preseason and Togai has looked good too! Njoku is always a boss dawg, but the tight end who played during chiefs game Grenerwald is really good and should backup Njoku! And how about our punter, he’s leading the NFL! Great punter with a powerful leg, I think we may need him to practice field goal kicking until we can find a replacement for York. Speaking of York he’s a rotten apple like the Big Apple(NY)!
Correction: Garret has to beat 2 or 3 men, several holds and the refs that conveniently didn't see any of it to sack a QB. Also, Wills is NOT a guard, and why would you replace BITONIO of all people with him anyway? And Dawand is most likely Conklin's replacement, regardless.
Not gonna replace our All Pro possibly future HOF LG Joel Bitonio any time soon unless he has career ending injury. Problem is, we have 3 starting caliber RT’s in Wills, Jones & Conklin & really no true LT. The Browns have been testing Jones at LT in Training Camp so maybe he can make the transition but I’d rather he stick at RT & become as dominant as he can at the position he knows. We don’t need to ruin him like we did Wills by forcing him to play out of his natural position.
The biggest thing that make Nick and all time great is his attitude. His stats are there, his measurables, his performance. But what truly sets him above every NFL player is his attitude. Can’t put a $ amount on having a guy in the locker room who has zero problems with teammates or FO, off field incidents, AND is seen as the humblest workers.

Having Nick Chubb in the weight room hitting reps with you as a high schooler has to be crazy. Have seen a lot of players give back to their hometowns/highschools but never seen that.
Now we need to get that Superbowl ring on his finger to go along with his future gold jacket.I believe he is that kind of special and the work ethic is there along with the desire.
Best in the NFL- reminds me a little bit about Earl Campbell ( greatest running back ever ). Stay humble Nick and trust in Jesus Christ death and resurrection for your/ mine sins. As a lifelong Browns fan, I was so happy we drafted him. I'm not gonna lie, though. I also didn't want to draft him because I've liked him his entire career, and he deserves better than Cleveland. He is exactly what you want in a person and a professional athlete. He is one of my all-time favorite players right there with Clay Matthews and Joe Thomas.
