If you hadn't mentioned English, l may have thought this was Italian or Irish (the greeeeen skirts!) Is that you in the middle? Great to see the older lasses passing on some pure traditions
What song are they singing? Sounds a bit like “Orange Maid of Sligo” but not quite. I must have heard a thousand English tunes my grandfather used to hum, so I know this one but can’t place it!
@@EatBakeSing yes, my favorite is the Broadway style of tap dance but the original Anglo folk version is very wholesome especially when accompanied by a fiddle
Thank you for keeping some of our traditions alive.
Appears much like Dutch country clogging with the wooden shoes...very nice and good timing.
Oh! I didn't know that the Dutch danced in clogs too! I mean of course we have all seen Dutch clogs as they are well-known!
PS I have quite a few pairs of English dancing clogs for sale! englishcuriosities.etsy.com/listing/1588667661
Very wholesome, thank you for sharing!
Imagine this at every other pub you see around town. I'd never could get enough of it.

Haha definitely English though there's a similar Irish tradition. That's me with the long hair before i cut it.
@@EatBakeSing cut ?? What ?!
@@Terrierized well yes i cut a good 6 inches off (this is an old video) but it's still long! All my other videos are recent. I'd never cut it all off!

This is a popular song from the 1920s called I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles.
I see how it heavily influenced American tap dance
@@izzyci it was the forerunner to tap dancing 😊
