one simple request: can you break down Empire’s 2022 O and D plays, philosophies, and player rotation? Preferably link to playbooks, internal team documents, practice plans, scouting docs, etc? Thanks!!!

Good stuff. I'd be interested in hearing your take on playing one-on-one defense on an island (i.e., no help) both in the playing field proper and the end zone as well as on the open and break side. Interesting key points might be level of physicality, adjusting based on offensive player's style/athleticism, hip positioning, where the defender should be looking, spatial recognition of the live/dead space on the field, and using the mark to your advantage.

yeah analysis on proper shut down Defensive positioning and footwork basically as the antithesis to these cutting styles would be rad.

cool video! i wish you had played the clips at 100% speed before and after the breakdown though, to get a better sense of how they look and feel in the moment. maybe point out where to look, play the clip, then break it down, and afterwards play it again?

Great advice! I did this to a kid in an iso cut, scored and he ended up 30 ft away from me. I didn’t know what I was doing but after this vid I recognized what I did. Can’t wait to watch your other ones thanks Jack

nice! that's super informative. very cool that you're doing this. could you break down what you think are best endzone sets, esp what you try to achieve/what you're looking for as a kinda hybrid cutter?

great low key vibe and excellent insights (volume a little low...) ! I try to tell my kids to 'joue dans son dos' (play in their back), even go as far as suggesting you can even set up a blind spot situation by moving into your defenders blind spot to force them to turn...also add that the thrower is in a position to make fakes as well for the defender that is looking at him...

Love this. Another vid idea is defending an iso at the front of the end zone, and in general good end zone defense.

Great Content, cant wait for more analysis on games. Can you cover your dump handling cuts at some point? When you are the dump handler you seem to do a lot of cuts based on what the defender gives you and get free anyway possible instead of predetermined/practiced cuts. How do you determine where you are going to cut in such small space dump situations that seem to always leave you free.

God Ultimate is such a great sport. What other sport has the best players casually breaking down film? What do you think is the best way to play man defense in the endzone? I usually face-guard when an offender is close to the disc, but it gets thrown passed my back when I do that in the endzone. Also can you break down how to run dominator? I can't figure out where to cut next after I throw.

Great start to your game analysis videos bro. Many great tips from the comments to help you grow and suggestions for future video ideas. I heard Rowan McDonnel and Ben Katz say (in the "Send it Back: Breeze v. Empire (2019) AUDL in this video th-cam.com/video/LCbThu-5PLA/w-d-xo.html at 13:39) how you get HUGE under's. Reckon you could share how you go about setting that cut up? Thank you.

Jack, I don't know if you're making much youtube money yet. But you should be able to afford a good editor who can just put everything together for you so you can focus on content and analysis and he can edit shit so it works well. You can develop the skill yourself. My main point was that your analysis is what's valuable here. The editing is important, but a lot of people can do that. That's not the unique or valuable skill here.
