Subcribed, thank you! Helped make up my mind. CTrader is way better, and nicer UI. Also, people should not be trading on their mobile anyways. Unless there's very special circumstances, but if i enter a trade i open my laptop as im watching a movie and boom, into the trade. Shouldnt trade on the go. Cheers.
C-Trader as the best order box by far, best for speed/intuition & flexible trade management too, flip side to that, its so easy to drag your stop or even click the reverse/double button if discipline goes out the window! I choose to move back to awkward MT4 for that reason lol
I agree with your commendation of cTrader - I also find your reason for going back to MT4 valid! I think in time discipline will grow to a point where it's okay to place an order and let it do as it will, as long as your reason for entering was solid 👍
The candlesticks can be very different across different brokers and or between a broker and a prop challenge, so its kinda weird advice to enter FTMO trades based of Oanda symbols..
Hello there, thanks for this video - i was actually thinking to apply to the challenge with CTRADER, I find it much much better. I am just curious. On 05:48 , what do you mean? FTMO doesnt allow you to use ctrader mobile app or you dont reccomend to use it? I am confused :D thanks for all the great work! Max
No you choose which platform you want to you use (MT4&5 or CTrader) while filling out the application to begin the challenge… I think they provide a platform but I rather use my own platform
My position was exactly like all you say on that video. MT5 is a shame. I was thinking for Magic keys, when I saw I have to pay $15/month for something I should have by default I then decided to look for cTrader.
Were you able to use ctrader? It's blocked for those of us in the US. I really wish MT developers would try to compete with tradingview and finally provide something more up-to-date.
what timeframe do you scalp on? i found that FTMO has very different prices than my broker on the 1minute chart and do you think its a problem on OANDA charts too?
When I scal I use a top-down approach with the 15m, 5m, and 1m charts. I agree, FTMO can have vastly different prices than other brokers when you're trading the smaller time frames. It might be best to trade off FTMO charts to have a more accurate analysis or to add a few extra pips to stops/select slightly closer take profit targets to avoid missing trades
Can you explain what FTMO means? “News event trading rule.” I know that you can't open/close at the time of the news event. So, how about if the trade hits the profit target or hit the SL at the time of the news event since volatility could be high? Explaining appreciated.
Good content I know you mentioned not to have phone version which I get it , but what about iPad m2 chips the very recent ones , have you tried that ? Or do you recommend
I'm currently based in the US so I can't use c-trader at all, but now that you've mentioned it, I'll see if there are work arounds. I'm currently using a M2 chip apple laptop. Thanks for the idea!
So you dont like the charts of ctrader? - why cant you use a mobile ctrader (Ive not used ctrader before), so oanda uses tradingview and you like the charting/analysis the best? I agree about mt4 I took a ftmo challenge a couple years ago using mt4 and I didnt like the archaic feel to it and the mobile version was like using some really bad app.
I like cTrader's charts, I just think it's best to use a professional trader software, completely separate from the prop account, to make decisions, draw, etc. Back when online trading first started, most people had to pay for separate software to make charts instead of getting it from their broker. I think it's a useful approach to keep things separated. You also don't want to accidentally close or open a trade when charting!

We’re here today because of the MetaTrader ban lol

Very true 😂

I found this video so helpful and I find your take on using your own platform for charting and FTMO ones for the orders very wise. Thanks!
Totally agree C Trader is simple to use .
Charting done on Trading View
Dude this was so helpful. Thanks for starting me off right.
Glad you found it helpful, Jason!

I use ctrader ever since
Better than MT4 or 5
Flexible and fast execution
the spreads are the same for MT5 and cTrader?
I totally agree with using CTrader. MT4 is a dull knife and is slow. MT5 is sleeker and better, though I prefer CTrader if I had to choose.
Ha, I like the analogy! Yes, MT4/5 are quite archaic when it comes to design and ease of use!
For ftmo, I know for mt4-mt5 ftmo only allows you to have an order of 50 lots at a time per order.
Does that rule also applies too ctrader?
If taking forever to get to the point was a video...

noob question, who is the broker to use in the challenge? is it provided by ftmo ? thanks!

@@marlonbrun5728 Oh thanks for still answering my question!

how can I change the contract size to lots size on a ftmo challenge
Why not use only ONE platform to analyse and place the trades?
On Ctrade?
Great video thanks
What was the reason again????
I use the same strategy as you used.
I am 2 month in to Forex.
how about some kind of "profy softwares' like Ninja Tader or Sierra charts? also how good would be C-trader for Futures market?
Just heard that cTrader is banned in the US for FTMO.
Fr 😂
Which trading app is trustable

I have tried the FTMO challenge a few times. IS it even possible to pass both stages?
Yes.
For me 5% is easy to pass. But 10% is a bit harder especially since I only trade one instrument
Can you move your stop loss freely?
Which application is most authentic and trustable
is it possible that there is also fake ctrader platform or not possible ? and how to find that this is real ctrader or fake ctrader ?
I hope not! Have you seen any fake ctrader offers out there?
Closed at 2:13 get to the point man, what the topic is supposed to be
Would you be kind to explain gross vs. net profit in trades held overnight, btcusd for example if it matters.
Can you explain what FTMO means? “News event trading rule.” I know that you can't open/close at the time of the news event. So, how about if the trade hits the profit target or hit the SL at the time of the news event since volatility could be high? Explaining appreciated.
You'll lose your account if it his SL or TP when your trading news

I've heard from others that it should, I haven't tried, it myself!
Yes it is
Tks!!

What broker you recommend for Ctrader?
I've only used them through prop firms, so I don't have any to recommend!
ICMarkets.
@@disciplinedfx6794 do you know other than FTMO who support Ctrader.
