With around $220k invested in TSLA stocks, any suggestions for additional stocks to diversify across various markets? Looking for a well-rounded portfolio
That means you have to de-risk your portfolios, shore up your core holdings, and take some profits while balancing your portfolio allocations. You can buy fractional shares. If you wait until the split, they will likely be more expensive because everyone will buy in after the split. If you buy 1/4 of a share now, it’ll be one share if there’s a 4 to 1 split so it’s essentially the same thing, only you’ll get in before the post-split hype
I bought before the last Tesla split when the stock was around $300. Then it went down after the split. I buy all my Tesla in fractions. And splits don't change the value at all, just the hype.
major profits in TSLA has been made. to jump in now for "possibly" making 10-15% from here is buying at the top. this is what rookies do so that smart money can unload it right on their laps.
In general, yes, likely. But getting in now for a few years out, Tesla’s definitely gonna 2 or 3 X at least, as FSD, Robotaxi, Optimus, battery storage, semi trucks and other vehicles come online.
I have made so much money selling covered calls on my 300 Tesla shares, premium coming out of my eyeballs. I sell on the pop, roll up and out as needed collecting further premium, then when it takes a dip, I roll back down and in for breakeven or better, then it pops again and I roll up and out, over and over. I will not let these get called away, but still collecting amazing premium.
I've been running pmcc on TSLA since nov...keep getting sunk on shorts...i decided to run uncovered yesterday...seeing youre giving the same advice makes me feel better about my decision.
I've done the same thing with MSTR set my strike pretty high but not high enough, was forced to sell my shares. Could have rolled but would have been in the same position next month. Still made a good profit but shares gone.
You can still do stock shares. They make it so you can buy at like $5 (if that’s all you can afford). Build it up to a full share gradually when you have money available and shares are at a low.
If it will appreciate about 20 - 25% from here by say June. a 6/20/25 $400 call costs $100 so... the stock would have to over $500 at exp. to profit anything. It will gain early on as it appreciates but if it does not make it past, time decay will erode any gains. It seems that buy and hold and take the $100/shr increase (or keep holding) is the way to go. IMO TSLA will probably be over $600 by the end of next year. I trade mostly options but call options here don't seem as lucrative as good old buy and hold.
Remember Tesla are going to lose manufacturer credits in the future The EPA and CARB are changing how many credits the are issued per vehicle. This was generating over $2 Biliion a year for Tesla. Another reason why manufacturers are pulling back from EV's.
