I was there. I was at army camp in Chilliwack that summer and four of us got tickets. Freaking amazing performance.
I first saw the Doors at the Toronto Rock and Roll Revival in 1969, headlining over John Lennon and Clapton. Morrison was a rock god. Mesmerizing live performance. Explosive in character.

+Ray Chepesiuk Not surprised that the Doors were the headliner. Lennon was mediocre as a solo artist and too brainwashed by Yoko, and Clapton didn't have the most confidence by himself at that time. Morrison was simply a rock god whose onstage persona was way beyond what Lennon and Clapton were capable of individually. WAY beyond. The Doors were magic.

Me 3!! I was there with my girlfriend Danise, and my old friend Fred C. and his gf Beverly. We went to the lowest level to smoke some hash before the concert. We were in a bit of a space between two pillars where we could more or less be unseen. We could see that the end section was gated off and barricaded. I was looking out for the VPD when I noticed this guy walking towards us with a dark blue t shirt, and a scruffy beard. I tuned back to my friend to say, "Hey man...Jim Morrison is heading our way." Fred peered out and saw the same. Morrison was walking toward the barricade as we also made our way. He asked if he could bum a smoke...LOL...so my friend Fred reached in his pocket and pulled out his pack of Players filter and handed a cigarette to Jim. Jim noticed that I was holding my hash pipe and asked "What a you have in there?" I said hash. So he took a couple of hits. We shook his hand and went on to enjoy the concert. The biggest highlight and thrill of my life.

This is why when the great band comes to your area you have to buy those tickets and get out there. The memory lasts forever (although it may become hazier with age.) Great Music is like magic, it's not common, it's not of this realm.

Un-fricking-believable. GODLIKE interlude after the second chorus, then everything moves on to FUCKING ABSOLUTELY CELESTIAL. One of their greatest ones, I would say.

May 22nd, 2013 It is an absolute joy to have found the uploading of this video from a HQ record of this 1967 live performance by WMG when all The Doors fans are communicating what they feel on Ray's passing. Beautifully stunning to listen to the echoes belonging to huge classics from the American Songbook like "Fever" and "Summertime" being beautifully and most giftedly embroidered by Jim and at the same time listening to Krieger's interplay, intermingling some chords from "The Sound of Music"

Creo que ambas son buenas , sin embargo en la versión In concert es una mezcla de alive she cried y otra que no recuerdo. Se nota cuando Manzarek toca el tema con un Gibson y en el minuto 5:30 cambia el sonido a un Vox.

Wow way to "fat shame" he wasn't fat. He was sick and tired of people only having interest in his looks. He wanted the poetry to stand out and not his damn looks. Further more that was a fantastic performance they all gave. Jim is horse because he had been performing alot
