That looks quite bodgey, an undisclosed amount of something we don't even know what it is. Hmm.

I think a silica thickener is being added to the epoxy solution. And yes, this demonstration is rather mediocre . At 02:11 delamination occurs whilst removing the hinge from the board.

John Owen Hinge? Oh the G Clamp. Looks a messy finish. I would've masked with decorating tape 1st, eliminating the need to go at it with sandpaper afterwards. The laminate is like less than 0.5mm thick, sandpaper isn't it's friend. As good a fix would have been achieved with Super Glue, less messy. I'm doing a tiny laminate fix with a full Carbon CARVED board in a few days. Laminate so thin it's virtually invisible.
