Those tents are a spectacle of color and craziness! I'm SO surprised by all of the American music they were playing! But I think my favorite thing by far is the little old man dancing on the table @ 8:54! 😂😂😂😂
It's not that extreme with the American music. Most of the music is definitely German or Austrian. I think they just cut it like that bc most of their community is English speaking.

You two are too cute, my husband and I were there in 2016 but at the end of Oktoberfest and thankful we had no rain. We'll be there again in 6 weeks this time with our son and his girlfriend along with his college friends. Oh boy it's going to be fun!

My wife is German and has been to Oktoberfest twice (before we married). She described it as much less of a carnival and much scarier, lol. Lots of long tables with lots of drinking, and then the streaking begins. :)
I hope you guys are able to come back to Germany sometime as a redemption trip, and travel from top to bottom. There are so many different food cultures and social cultures. I recommend München again, Nurnberg, Dresden, Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Rothenburg ob der tauber, and many other places! Go explore!

The last tent is the Nymphenburg Tent which only sells wine. It is more for the older people. And it is the nly tent that is open until 1 am. Unfortunately you missed the "Oide Wiesn" which wasn't in 2016. It's called the traditional part where you pay 3 Euros entry and there are at least 2 more tents with traditional old music and beer and karussels which only cost 1 Euro. It's more for family and kids.

Npoe. The Fischer Vroni Zelt is a bit of an upper class thing. Most of the German Celebs are partying in that place. Security is basically checking whether your attire is fitting for the place. Take note at the shot when you discuss this when the lady walks out in the red/pink dirdl. That is designer piece and she has the proper shoes.
Watching this vlog for the first time in July 2020. I can't imagine how many drunk people you had to fend off during your filming. And the drunk Swiss guy putting his hands on Kara...Nate - you showed great restraint.

I'm shocked at how sober you were at the end of the night. I've been a couple of times. And yes the pork knuckle is amazing , truly. It is so fun. Standing on the table is a strict no no, they will ask, do you stand on the table at your house? Then don't stand on them here. The Paulaner tent is the best beer wise, but they are all good. It works best yo get there early have 2 beers, purge that around 2 pm, eat something, then start over. The food is shockingly good , the beer is awesome and as long as you try to follow the very few rules, you will have a great time. Everyone should go at least once.
Which are the best tents? Also, Where did you get your outfits? do you know the specific shop? My Wife and i will be there this year for our honeymoon for 15 days!
Honestly Oktoberfest would be the last thing on my list to do...rather do anything else then be aroumd hundreds of drunk people when more then 50% cant act like adults while drunk

Whoever said that your dress looked lovely but didn't like your shoes... was right! 😂The dirndl looked awesome in you but the shoes didn't do it any justice. But you took it well, always in high spirits, that's what matters at the end of the day. It was raining too much too.
That's because Currywurst is traditional in the Ruhr Area (West Germany) and around Berlin (East Germany). Munich is in the South, where they prefer Weisswurst ;)
