It was pretty competitive, but towards the end Catalin was hurting the other guys leg. I think the other guy decided to lay there much longer than he needed to, basically giving up. If it continued Catalin would have likely won anyway, expect something like the other guy to have a destroyed leg if it continued (Catalin has done this to a few other guys).
Taiei had to of known that Morosanu is a hard hitting aggressive fighter but thought that he could catch Morosanu with one of his brutal kicks but instead morosanu returned the favor with some brutal kicks his self . Taiei was hurt from those kicks before the bell rings so when morosanu made one mistake he jumped all over it knowing that there would be a disqualification. He felt those punches and realized that he was goin to be damaged. So he took the easy way out.
I agree, it's rather obvious. He was actually doing alright, I think his leg may have been fucked up though, so he just decided to lay there so they stop the fight. lol
