It's been a while since you had any videos. I was hoping nothing happened to you and I was excited to see you had a new video posted. Enjoyed your video and the new members to your farm.
    Have a great New Year.

My O-hive is Langstroth as well, but I plan to add another one this spring based on Layens frames. We can discuss when I come on my next visit. Good stuff, Gene!

How difficult would a modified Layens observation hive be to make?

Thanks for your channel. I am going to build a few Layens hives and live in Zone 5b. I am wondering if I should build them deeper by a few inches so they have enough stores above the cluster to make it through winter Just wanted to know your thoughts on that idea.

what is "number 8 hardware cloth" in Amazon speak? What gauge? Inches?...never mind, I think I figured it out, it should be 1/8 inch wire mesh. Anyway, thanks a lot for inspirational video!
What is your occupation? Your farm is not your only source of income, is it? Can you speak a little about the balance between the job and the farm?
    Thanks!
...also, have you considered using extruded Polystyrene to make bee hives?

1/8 inch mesh, 8 squares per inch
