It's been a while since you had any videos. I was hoping nothing happened to you and I was excited to see you had a new video posted. Enjoyed your video and the new members to your farm. Have a great New Year.
My O-hive is Langstroth as well, but I plan to add another one this spring based on Layens frames. We can discuss when I come on my next visit. Good stuff, Gene!
Thanks for your channel. I am going to build a few Layens hives and live in Zone 5b. I am wondering if I should build them deeper by a few inches so they have enough stores above the cluster to make it through winter Just wanted to know your thoughts on that idea.
what is "number 8 hardware cloth" in Amazon speak? What gauge? Inches?...never mind, I think I figured it out, it should be 1/8 inch wire mesh. Anyway, thanks a lot for inspirational video! What is your occupation? Your farm is not your only source of income, is it? Can you speak a little about the balance between the job and the farm? Thanks! ...also, have you considered using extruded Polystyrene to make bee hives?
Very informative video! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for posting , happy holidays!

When will the layens observation hive be available for purchase? 🤔
How difficult would a modified Layens observation hive be to make?
