I wouldn't have been able to finish this project because I would have gotten stuck on the absolute need to figure out how to properly utilize all that corner space.
A rotating quarter-circle-ish rack of similar design to what he's made here, that can only be rotated out when the far right "drawer" is removed. Why you ask? In order to store the extra spices you use so often that you need backups of..........(or maybe just a secret rotating door for drugs or something). Yes, niche as hell and you'd need to always have an EXACTLY full spice rack to ever need it (unless drugs or something) but, it's a thought 🙃
Matthias Wandel has used side mount drawer slides in this orientation for custom powerools like his mortiser and Pantorouter, so I bet these will do just fine in this application. Great work!
That came out really nicely, although I'm surprised you didn't give in to the urge to use linear guide rails. Nothing exceeds like excess! I particularly liked the chamfer bit and how it made the edges look.
I REALLY love your videos AND your channel name. It's such a simple yet unique measurement unit while it also sounds Sci-Fi-esque in a way. Just curious though, does it have any significance? Some quick maths show it's about 3 cm and I would like to know what inspired your name.
THAT is a very beautiful build. However, I think more space could be utilized, and with your background, you could figure it out. "If" one wanted to utilize those "wing" areas off to the sides, I suggest that the unit you built should slide all the way out, and then lower, to allow the wings to swing into place with their stores. The dimensions are close to being perfect for this. I don't know the math or where the wing pivots exactly are but...
Gratz on (nearly) 5k! I'm sure you'll keep growing, love these kinds of projects & you've got great pacing for showing them off. Also... I have a similar problem with spices, lmao. I'm at the point where I don't allow myself to buy more spices, period, until I've gone through some more of what I already have 😂
Oh dude I love those circle designs. Have you shared the inkscape or CAD files for those anywhere, or did you talk about making them? I'll dig through your vids, but the circles called to my impulse decision making faculty of mind.
this really shows how terrible YT recommendation algorithm is when it comes to niche nerdy content. there are millions of people that could have been subscribed to you if they knew this exists.
The chamfering really boosts the completeness look of those end-pieces too. Very nice.

christ me too, it's not even my kitchen and I'm sitting here thinking about it

No real significance, beyond being a classic metrology joke like the Smoot or the millihelen. :)

This video should have been sponsored by Spice Islands. Or the Spice Girls?
Absolutely insane how you've over doubled in subscribers in 3 months
