Always a wealth of information! Thank you Tim! Great timing. Im getting ready to setup flaperons on my freedom fox. Also great info on the order of the plugs, I always wondered about that battery terminal.
As a beginner this actually makes sense the way you expain it. It seems a couple other videos I have watch skip over some of the most fundamental basics questions that I have. Thanks man.
Vielen Dank für das Super Video. Das hast du gut erklärt. Das waren genau die Informationen die ich gerade gebraucht habe. Danke. Grüße aus Deutschland. Guten Flug
Excellent Information on the General Use of the Computer Radio Function to program the separate Servos. I am just getting into 3D Printing Airplanes. I have yet to actually complete one; but I am learning a lot from your Videos and from Troy McMillan's videos. Eclipson, PlanePrint and 3DLabPrint have some excellent (even free) Model Plans. Thank you for the valuable tips.
Thank you, so helpful! I’ve been away from RC for a long while and have kind of forgotten everything. I have a spektrum AR620 and a spektrum DX6E. I have the manual for both. But the manual for the AR620 doesn’t give you any hints at all about how to do this properly. Not even a guide to which pins for which servo. That’s just plain nuts. I’m setting up a Libelle DLG with flaperons and I had no clue how to do it. So you took me right through it and everything works perfectly now and thank you so much.
As always very informative Tim love all your videos. You take great care in making them very professional. I was wondering if you have considered building the Guillow’s Spirit of St. Louis I’m considering building one. Would like you consideration on this kit.
Thanks sir for the video. Very useful for us. I want to know if I could use flaperons when the 2 servos alierons go to the same port off the receiver. Thank you.
I agree about spectrum receivers I have tried some of the other cheaper ones and end up pulling my hair out trying to get them to bind but never had a problem with spectrum
Hi Tim, Many thanks for your excellent info. I have tried it on the new XFLY Twinliner using a Spectrum 630 with SAFE. Once I disconnect one of the ailerons & into channel 6 the Flaperons all work after reversing the flap system but the right aileron does not operate in SAFE mode only the left aileron works in SAFE. Any ideas? Do I need to use a 'Y'Harness? Hoping you can help. Regards
BAV: Apologies, but no blazing insights on this one. I am just not very smart on SAFE issues. Do give a try at www.RCGroups.com Seems like those forums know everything. Tim
How about setting the flaps to work with the ailerons to make full width ailerons? Do both flaps and ailerons have to be on their own channel , as in 4 channels, or can the ailerons remain on a Y lead? I only have a 6 channel Tx and Rx
Hi Tim. I just set up flaperons following your video with a DX6 and an AR630 receiver. After testing everything, I find that port 6 doesn't provide AS3X or flight mode to my left aileron. How can I fix this please?

Many thanks Tim. I did try a ‘Y’ harness but does not like it.

John, first I have heard of this. Any others? Tim
@@TimMcKay56 Hi Tim. I got it worked out. All I had to do was a factory reset of the receiver through forward programing on the DX6. Thanks!
Yikes . . . well done!! Tim
Hi tim, hi from melb australia..!!!
😊👍🏻 Tim
Can you also do this on a dx8 gen 1 transmitter? Thank you.
CH: Not sure, but I imagine the menus would be pretty close. Try it out, see if it works! Tim
@@TimMcKay56 I'll talk to my expert club members. You said about fwd programming at one point, I know it doesn't have that.
@@capnhardway Good luck! Tim
