What precautions should be taken when transporting a 20 lb cylinder with a 5 gal. gas tank by car?

Neither should be inside a car. They are trapped with the driver in a crash and cannot safely vent.

Ideally, your car boot has a chimney to vent safely.

Even though I'm using a small proane tank for home use, this is very helpful so I can be as safe as possible. Thank you, 🙏🏿

I just wonder if anybody else has the same problems I do. It doesn't matter what I search but the results come up with everything but what I am searching for. Example what are the requirements for storing flammable liquids at your place of business. It could be worded 16 different ways.. I guess if they did make something like that then they wouldn't be able to have very many violations

Thanks for your excellent question. Propane cylinders not in use must be stored outdoors in secure, well ventilated storage. Must be in compliance with the Propane Storage and Handling Code and Ontario Regulations for Propane Storage and Handling (as per Section 6.5.2.5 CAN/CSA-B149.2-05 Propane Storage and Handling Code adopted under O. Reg. 223/01 made under the Technical Standards and Safety Act, 2000). Large tanker trucks get loaded up near my home. Then after they leave the site they go about a mile away and release a large amount of pressure into the woods. Is there a good reason to do that. Is it illegal?
