    UPDATE from your Buddies:
    Hello Design Friends 🤗
    Thank you so much for all your love and support on these videos! It means the absolute world to us 🤗
    However, at the moment it’s hard to find time to make new vids as it takes a lot of time and we have to prioritize paying jobs over making these free videos 😬
    At the moment we’re converting a Van to a campervan and will be full time Vanlifers soon. After our buildout there’s a big chance that we will restart our creative series and be creating many more videos about many creative topics and work techniques for you... buddies 😋
    In the meantime, pls don’t hesitate to keep on telling everyone about our project and this channel and please do subscribe to be the first to be notified when we post another video 😋
    Best wishes in this crazy times,
    your buddies, Hanna & Dorian
    P.S.: If you’re interested in our CamperVan project, you can checkout our Instagram @einpaarkreative for daily updates 😏

    First of all... THANK YOU!!!!! I have been struggling in college for MONTHS because they turned my course into “online learning” ..so we DON’T have a teacher... it’s 100% online.(I found out a few days before the “class” was supposed to start.)...anyway, I am on my own. The “teacher” gave us BORING online videos to watch...it is like watching that “Ferris Bueller” teacher ...teaching us something new...it’s AWFUL!!!
    Now I am “trying” to find INTERESTING videos to teach me this stuff, so I can “pass” the course. ..without killing myself. So again...THANKS. You’re a LIFESAVER. 🙂

    • @BuddyMedia
      @BuddyMedia  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh no, we’re sorry to hear that your teacher doesn’t seem to care about actually giving you the information you need.. or makes it super hard and boring to do so! But we’re happy that we can help! That‘s exactly why we make these videos and it means so much to us than we can help you and you like our videos! 😊 we hope you find all the info that you need and pass your course! And also, don‘t you worry bc we‘re already in the process of making a new video and we‘ll cover even more topics in the future! 😉
      Until then, keep your head up and best of luck with your studies! 😊

    Finally, a simple description I can understand. I own a restaurant. The company that prints my banners keeps asking for vector graphics, but they can't explain what that means. Now I wonder about their competence, since I now understand my photos of food items can't be made into vectors!

    I was at a printing shop yesterday and I saw some girls trying to crop an image they uploaded in Illustrator. My dumb ass tried to help them by using Pathfinder and using Minus Front. Obviously, it didn't work. I now realise that their image was not converted to vectors. And I also could've just used a clipping mask to crop that image. OR BETTER YET - I COULD'VE JUST USED "CROP IMAGE". Yikes. I'm still in my first year in design school but this shattered my entire being. This will definitely haunt me for the rest of my days.

      Corn hey, don‘t beat yourself up too much! It’s okay to make mistakes and oftentimes the best solutions come to us when the problem is already irrelevant 🙈 also when it comes to software like Illustrator there’s usually more than one way to work sth out. So just be patient and keep learning. The most important thing is that you tried to help 😉

    Hey, great video! However I’m confused how these affect 3D graphics. Suppose say in software like Blender or Unity where we deal with 3D spaces and objects, we deal with vertices and vectors generally, does that mean they use vector graphics? And when we export them as jpg or ping they get converted to raster graphics? Please let me know. Thanks!

    • @BuddyMedia
      @BuddyMedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, that is correct. 3D files such as the blender files are vectors with mathematical Formulars with three Dimensional Coordinates. When you export / render the project, you will get a rastered result witch is easier and faster to view with a smaller computer such as a smartphone.

    Is there an alternative to drawing Vectors with a mouse ( Adobe Illustrator) for those who really find it exhausting to go through all these line drawings with the mouse etc. Something like drawing letters, shapes etc. with your hand pen ( like in the Wacom) and then turn all that into Vector?

    • @BuddyMedia
      @BuddyMedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, we’re using a iPad for digital sketches with a pen. You have to keep in mind that a detailed vector contains a lot of calculation for the processor. There are quite a view apps in the AppStore you can check out. Otherwise you could also draw in Procreate but keep in mind to draw on a rarely big file to only downsize the final sketch.

    So like if I could make 1 recommendation for us visual learners, it would be that if you can label the Raster and Vector sides with a text my brain is able to comprehend better. Example i believe raster was on the right but it would be helpful to see the word hoovering in the header. otherwise thank you for your time explaining

    • @BuddyMedia
      @BuddyMedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well a rasterimg doesn’t have to be rendert. It already contains all the information needed to be shown. It might be scaled up or down for the resolution of your screen
      A vector image have to be rendered, witch is pretty fast there days. But if you have a really detailed image with many shapes, effects and overlays, it might take a bit to be viewed on your screen. But it will appear crispy sharp 😏

    • @BuddyMedia

      In case you don’t want to pay that much money, you could easily animate with keynote or PowerPoint and export your presentation as a video. I sometimes do that too for simple animations where I don’t have that much time to animate every single thing 😁

    The information was useful, but I literally don't understand some of the words you used. "Vector graphics are made of anchor points (in this part of your video, I'm not sure if I hear you correctly?) which are the fine back coordinates," for example.

    • @BuddyMedia
      @BuddyMedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      These fine Lines in the Background stand for the coordinate system on witch points and lines are placed and shaped. Just like in math school with the sinus curve.
