In this video-session 11 of our popular Care Partner Training program-Dr. Jori Fleisher shares practical tips she has learned during her years working directly with Parkinson’s care partners. Some of the tips and tools in this video target ways to help a person with Parkinson’s maintain their independence, but the primary goal of this video is to help care partners maintain their own quality of life. This video is the first of three additions to the training program that we have planned for 2025.
In February 2025, we plan to release another pre-recorded episode and, at the end of the month, a live-streamed Q and A. Sign up for the program today in order to be ready for the live Q and A!

Bedside commodes, my camping daughter taught me to line the bucket with a kitchen size bag and put 1-1&1/2 cups of cat litter in the bucket. It’s so easy to change the bag anytime it’s used. It’s easy, cheap, I never touch anything gross or have to clean the bucket.

A friend from bbc OUCH years ago when the message boards still worked said to try the dollar stores to look for a plastic pitcher with an amenable shape. She had found one that worked best holding it with the handle on the far side. she searched for a comfortable diameter for her. She was wobbly. I identified with the wobbly situation even that long ago.
