the reason why atomics cut 2nd move isnt going up its because they use velocities in the script to make them go upwards, its only the animation and effects that changed
When Tatsumaki's ult was still in development, there was a move that I can't remember what it was called but it was a massive fist made of rock that would rise from the ground and then slam the ground in front of you in a big AOE attack.

old atomic base moves having a lot of similarities with vergil and his yamato moveset from devil may cry (specifically 5) The quick slice specifically looking a lot like his judgement cut attack and the slashes left on the ground being very similar to the effects he has on his jce slash and attacks when in sin devil trigger The old quick slice's more saturated blue particle's probably got desaturated due to that similarity i think
