I am such a hard-core Gene Watson fan that I almost skipped this, assuming that nobody could bring anything new to the song. Turns out I was wrong and I am glad I listened.
Jeez, what a legacy! I asked Dempsey once how he learned to play and he said that if I listened to him closely, I should know that he learned on his own! Awful talented and a nice guy. Big time RIP.
This is so good on every level!
a truly great band in my mind. this is the best!
This song is beautyful done by Steve Wilson, great singer, great Mandolin player Dempsey Young, Gene Parker on the Banjo and Alan Mills on Bass.
Those guys were hotter than a 5 dollar pistol in those days. Solid as a rock.
Great band! Dempsey will always be my favorite. Him and Gene Parker were a perfect fit.
