We have a duty to report and we feel a lot for those kids. It’s only my 4th year but I’ve learned to not hold the heaviness in my heart. If I had the resources to home the kids that needed it I would. But I don’t, so I just do what I have to and make sure from 7:30-3:00 those kids are safe, happy, fed, and learning.

My class and I made our teacher cry because we got him a "thank you for being such a good father figure. therapy would be too f***ing expensive" or something like that. He said that he knew a lot of us didn't have a good relationship with our parents (he was a head teacher, so he could see her wellbeing files i think) and he felt honoured that we saw him like a dad to us 😢

Discipline problems do require coherent adult response, which is why there is a problem for some of the best teachers. But they also just don't enforce the rules.

I relate to the shy kid. I was so shy and socially awkward in middle school. Im 15 now. But I was always stuck with the people who wouldn't do any work. One time, one of my partners said, "I'm not gonna do it because I don't feel like it." That made me furious, but I couldn't make him do the work. So I made the poster for the project, wrote my part, and his part of the essay, and I did the diorama all on my own while my stupid partners were just chilling out. By the time we presented, I had to do the whole presentation myself. They still got an A+ . My point is that you can't make people do anything. But life will come back to bite these people who don't make an effort. If you made the effort, then you're already on a path to success. 😊
In our school every body in the group gets graded individually so if someone didn't do anything the group members will tell the teacher and the lazy idiot will get the lowest grade. This happened with me before.

The teacher had just said something and as I was one one of the front tables right next to the teacher's view, she saw me drawing. Thinking I didn't listen, witch I was, she said, infront of the entire class to me to repeat what she had just said to the classs.
