I have Saturn vargottama. I am insanely patient (so I've been told) and almost immovable if I decide I am not ready. I am usually preparing until I am ready, but that preparation is rarely visible to others. Once I decide I am ready, I take action and don't stop until I get desired result (well, sometimes I have to stop and recalibrate). This has been more of a thing since my Saturn return and mahadasha. Hard work is hard, but damn if it doesn't get me results.
I think with Saturn vargottama, it's about constant renewal, constant fact and truth searching, and constant work and improvement... which is what Saturn demands anyway. .. and to be fair, I probably could work harder.
And since Saturn mahadasha began... things have become both easier and harder. Easier in the sense that I get what I work for. Harder in the sense that I can feel the weight of the responsibility upon me, which forces me to work harder, and then I get what I work for... and the cycle keeps going. My income has seen significant improvement as well. It's a great motivation to improve myself even more so I can earn even more (and pay off my loans faster).
I think having Saturn vargottama is like... having the power and stamina of infinite growth.

Thanks for the great content! I have Rahu/Ketu Vargottama Virgo/Pisces for D1 and D9 and I would say, there is always a solution for a problem through transformation. Transformation is like an internal call, you must not hesitate to go through when it is needed. Live is transformation, because there isn't anything else than life - death is just an illusion of human made boundaries within the material realm. I hope this makes any sense. Then, I have sun/moon mercury in Vargottama in Gemini, but only between D1, D10 and D3. Knowledge and studies are important to me - I can not imagine a life without learning different kinds of things and sometimes I can also be very stubborn about things and insisting in learning and it seems to me that I have developed my personal IQ over time - from very natural and artistic to more analytical and structured. For my mercury, I am very careful to speak in public. D3 - mercury in 10th, Rahu (D1) 10th house. This is because I am shy and I don't want to impact others too much. Because sometimes I regret things, I said - particularly when I was younger. With the time it gets easier to stay to my own truth in public.

The issue is that there are no retrograde planets D9. That Does not carry over . so the retrogradation has to be read in terms of the D1 chart and the aspects there and the rulership there. But I would say that being retrograde as well as Vargottama makes it extremely strong in terms of karmas. Urgent karmas. Still needs Mars remedy,

I have Aquarius Lagna in D1 & D9 that makes my Lagna as VERGOTTAM. I also have Malefic Mars in Aquarius in both D1 & D9 that makes Mars as VERGOTTAM too. I completed my Mars mahadasa between 1972 to 1979. I still remember it was a very tough time.
How was your rahu mahadasa and where is your rahu placed in lagna kundali?

My Rahu Mahadasha was hell, but it helped me see that I'm like a phoenix. I'm a Pisces ascendant vargottama, along with Rahu in Aquarius and Ketu in Leo vargottama also in D9. I felt very identified with the meaning of Sri Vishnu and Sri Shiva in my life, as I said before, I always felt that I was a phoenix.

Gina, I assume the Cardinal/Fixed/Dual sign and degrees must match for a planet to qualify as a Vargottama. If you have more than one qualified Vargottama - what is the significance of having them all in the same sign in various charts vs having only one is a handful (do we even count these charts). For example, I have Sa, Ve as my Vargottama. This is only repeated in the D9 chart and nothing else. However, I have Saturn alone in multiple other charts. Do we count that? In addition, if a planet qualifies as Vargottama in D1 (Degree + Sign) - does it need to match the degree as well in the other charts? I am assuming not. How about the plant that qualifies as a cardinal sign in one of the cardinal signs? Please advise.

Mars is my ascendant lord in D1 in Virgo (6th house) and it is vargottama in the D9 (in the 10th house). In D1,Mars is with the moon, and in the D9 it’s alone in the 10th but aspected by Saturn in the 4th 🤦🏻♀️. I’ve read that the 10th is a good house for Mars (6th house too), but with Virgo not being the best sign for Mars, how would you interpret this? Mars is also my atmakarara in the D1 (28 degrees), so it’s a very significant planet for me. Mahadasha passed when I was a child, it wasn’t an easy time, but I do remember feeling still very resilient during that time. I have never been athletic (but always put effort in health).

Ma'am I have a confusion. You said that any planet that is vargottama is also vargottama in the D3. I have Rahu Ketu vargottama.
However, when I went to check my D3, the signs were different. The vargottama is between D1 and D9. Did I misunderstand something?

I have Rahu and Ketu vargottama. I spent the first 3 years of my life in Ketu Mahadasha. I only know that my granfather died, when I was 2 and 1/2 years old and it had an impact on my whole life.
Rahu Mahadasha from 2000 to 2018 brought a lot of physical health issues. Rahu is in the 8th in D1, in D9 in the 10th. I also had to change my work from a restaurator to an environment job.
Finally I got retired. Rahu/Ketu axes is in sagittarius/twins. In D9 many planets are crowded with Ketu (sun, moon, venus, and also uranus , which is vargottama too). I enjoy staying home doing my sadana and studies.
When Jupiter Mahadasha came in2018, I hoped these health issues would become easier, but I already had to get a new shoulder implanted. In D1 my Jupiter is in 1st in taurus, in D9 it is sitting in leo in the 6th. All the time I was spiritually very much inclined: I got into Jotish, but got into western astrology already by the age of 18. And I became interested in Jain religion, also I learned Zen meditation a long time ago, so this is my new thing now.
