IDC what people say ncuti nailed his reaction to the sutekh reveal, that's how every doctor after tom baker should react to it, you can tell this is a big deal based on his face alone
"In my presence, you are an ant, a termite. Abase yourself, you groveling insect." I'll always remember Pyramids of Mars for Sarah Jane Smith's sudden expert marksmanship.
Gabriel low key voice and performance makes this villain so special. Sutekh’s calmness of voice and his enjoyment in delivering death is incredibly chilling.
Even without the context of Pyramids of Mars, I feel the Egyptian god Set, who gets name dropped, and the story of him as basically one of the earliest Devil figures in human history is well known enough for newcomers to get "okay, the Who version of Set".
“He has hidden in the howling void. He has hidden within the tempest. He has braved the storm, and the darkness, and the pain. And he whispered to the vessel. All this time, he whispered, and delighted, and seduced, and the vessel did obey, for none shall be more mighty, and none shall be more wise than the king himself. And the Lord of Time was blind, and vain, and did nothing. There is the Toymaker, the God of Games. There is Trickster, the God of Traps. There is Maestro, the God of Music. There is Reprobate, the God of Spite. There is Mara, the God of Beasts. And the threefold deity of Malice, and Mischief, and Misery. There are Gods of Skin, and Shame, and Secrets. There is Incensor, the God of Disaster. And her children called Doubt and Dread. And standing on high is the Mother, and Father, and Other of them all. For the God of all gods has returned. And His names are many. His name has been Set, and Seth, and Setekh. And his one true name forever is... Sutekh. Sutekh is the God of Death, and by his hand, all creation shall fall into dust, and ashes, and ruin!"
this gonna sound bizzare but everytime i open something that scares the living hell such as this scene right after video ends i see matt smith during the moon series.
SPOILER ALERT Ok so I don’t know if it’s just me but I thought the build up and setup was way cooler than the reveal. I was like are they about to say the beast from the impossible planet is back? But I honestly don’t know what it could have been to make me go what the heckkkk. They said suketh was the God of Death but wasn’t abbadon from torchwood called that aswell? Definitely a episode to keep you interested in what it could be, I don’t know if it has rewatch ability though
Yeah idk abt why Abaddon was retconned. It’s a shame the Devil didn’t come back because that would have worked nicely, then again, the devil isn’t a god so him coming back probably wouldn’t fit. I also thought that Time would have returned because of the Mouri and the form that Sutekh took when wrapped around the TARDIS, many missed opportunities but NOT disappointed lol
That one scene make me want to watch Doctor Who again :)
Even when you’re a newcomer to the show, it’ll still make you feel all the intensity during the entire buildup
😂😂😂

if Elizabeth Sladen still alive, imagine the horror on Sarah Jane face, se faced Davros and Sutekh alongside her doctor.
I missed who reveals like this
"In my presence, you are an ant, a termite. Abase yourself, you groveling insect." I'll always remember Pyramids of Mars for Sarah Jane Smith's sudden expert marksmanship.
Harriet Arbinger is gorgeous
Best part: they got Gabriel Woolf to come back.

THE BEAST'S/SATAN'S VOICE!!!!!!
the mother and father and *other* of them all
a few too many hours on tardis wiki has mad me dread that name
"It takes a being of Sutekh’s almost limitless power to DESTROY the future."

I was expecting the Beast since the First time "The one who waits" were mentioned.
I think the beast would have been cooler to be honest, suetekh was perfect in pyramids of mars, no need to bring him back
@@phantomsidious2934 Ncutti also Said that the one enemy he wanted to face would be the Beast.
@@phantomsidious2934I think it will tie in with the beast in the next part, I think Sutekh is a gonna be a side antagonist

It should have been the beast from impossible planet.
Same voice actor so who is to say they're not both aspects of the same entity?
About as scarey as a chocolate hobnob 🥱🥱
The demons of the Punjab were WAAAY cooler looking
Can't wait for DWpoop to edit it so it says
"And his one true name forevermore is... Cherry Sunday"
What a shit show😢
🌨️🌨️

Not a good look for Sutekh. More like Sukh
🥱
