There should be restrictions to bars and anything that can be deemed to 18+ until you verify your age through id or something so it’s more safe for people
there was going to be a system but the community complained so it got delayed. It's why there's a tag system except right now the tags are not enforced based off of age so it only filters stuff if _YOU_ dont want to see them

They were going to add one (why there are tags for stuff like gore or 18+ stuff) that was going to be hard-enforced but a lot of the community flew into an outrage (probably like 16 year olds who want to not be banned from this stuff) which forced the devs to delay the system.

Recently I had a couple yell at me for asking them in sunset bar if they think its appropriate to display non pg13 behavior in vr chat since the game is rated 13 and up. Got told I dont count as a person to them.

Hate how they're saying "it's just vr it isn't real", children can still be groomed online by adults and in games like VRChat they will inevitably get exposed to / participate in explicit activities and get messed up mentally as a result. Seen enough videos to know kids shouldn't be allowed on the game altogether, the degeneracy they're exposed to could make them an easier target for actual predators targeting them outside the game. The folk defending minors being allowed on the game, especially in worlds like this are actual freaks.
I just don't get why the adults in these types of situations would even WANT to hang around young teenagers anyways. Like for example, a 23-year-old hanging out and being friends with 15-16-year-olds is just weird as f_ck on principle imo. What does a 20-something even have in common with a literal sophomore or freshman in high school? I know there's no real justification for this, but one time a friend and I pretended to be little kids on here and some guy acted really weird towards us, mind you it was in a public Test Pilots server.

a week ago i was trolling this group instance and they were in their early to mid 20s. i saw them kicking children the second they joined and turned on their mic, however another child walked around talking to people and nothing happened. i called them out for this wondering why they didnt kick him and he told me he was an ex moderator. he told me he was 11. an 11 yr old. moderating for literal grown adults.

I've noticed there are several bar groups that are catering to minors I believe one of them is teens of VR where they allow 14 - 20yrs to interact.
I have not done a deep dive myself into this group but I've seen similar instances where people attempt to make these groups and eventually The groups get used to harbor predators.
It's unfortunately become a society standard that kids believe they are adults when they are not and the ability for them to become victims or aggressors has substantially increased due to poor parenting or guidance.
The responsible adult communities know this is a problem and the communities that openly allow this horrible judgement are likely the ones most people are going to run into compared to the ones that are actually well managed.
If you're ever down to have a conversation about this I would be more than open to talk about it with you.
I'm just overall happy to see that this issue is being brought up more and people not afraid of being targeted for speaking out.

From a 15 year old perspective that doesn't have brainrot (yet), this is a real issue and I've personally met people irl and in other games that have been victims of predators because of social games like VRChat and others like Rec Room. (Also you should do a vid where you ragebait people in Rec Room, it's so easy and usually they are full grown adults)

The sunset bar is actually moderated and won't let you in without you date of birth being said out loud, but can be easy to get around for those who have a deeper voice, I feel like, idk. But I can confirm there are others who have let in people in that are younger, the youngest I've personally seen in a bar is 16, but they were also British. Can't confirm other bars. I've seen tons of videos saying how dark vrchat is, but when deep diving myself, a lot of it is over exaggerated for views. But I commend those out there who have exposed real creeps on the game, and can hopefully continue to weed them out.

There's a few simple or simple enough solutions to this problem, yet vrchat won't actually crack down and do it. Which could eventually lead to the cancelation or take down of the game. It sucks. Companies these days suck so bad.,
Yeah, kids can be fun and adorable to hang around, maybe even nicer with a less stained view of the world, and especially for those out there who may not be able to have their own kids, BUUUT, the thing is, it's *unsafe* for them! Its a bit unfair yeah but in the end it's saving thousands of kids/teens who can potentially be scarred for life or manipulated by evil people out there. There should be a safer way for them to enjoy the game, like taking vrchat itself and making a strictly kid version, BUT that wouldn't necessarily work because adults could get on the game, so maybe making it where they have to have actual evidence of their age to even get on public worlds, would be a good solution. I've heard the argument that some adults may not have their ID to prove their age, this can be worked around by sending in other forms of proof and/or photos of yourself, etc. A kid probably couldn't find a work around for that. And also have it be a one time thing, for adults, so you wouldn't have to go through an entire process everytime you get on vrchat or update the game, we don't have to make it to where kids ruin the fun, but we also don't have to sit around not caring at all and blaming kids, either.
