I recommend green gas, especially if you are new to gas blowback. In my eyes, the people who hate green gas and tell new players to only ever use propane are gatekeeprs. For me, the most important thing is that green gas has different additives than commercial propane. Green gas has no smell unlike commercial propane's rotten egg smell and does not cause rust to form like commercial propane does. Propane also voids your manufacturers warranty if that is something that will matter to you. Standard Green gas has the added controversial benefit of maintaining your gun for you with it's silicon oil additive. This is nice especially if you don't want to be lubing select parts in your gun every time you want to use it. I still recommend you manually lube your gun every so often, but green gas reduces how often you need to. I have never had an issue with green gas reducing my gun's hop performance as many others suggest, I believe their opinion against green gas is essentially an old wives tail sort of thing. If you really don't want any silicon oil going through your barrel, you can use silicon free green gas and not have this potential issue at all.
@@Wyhaq I appreciate this thorough response. You touched on the things I was gonna ask on my follow up. However, apart from the lubing the green gas does and the pros and cons. Green gas is sorta of expensive, besides lubing gun manually/mags and voiding the warranty. Do you believe propane makes sense in the long run economically wise. While, yes I just got into gbb I’m very mechanically inclined and I already know the parts and how a gbb works(I learned aeg first) so I don’t mind taking more care of my airsoft gbb.
@@DiegoRodriguez-th1ho It's really up to you. I generally disregard price when I choose products. I care more about having positive features at a premium rather than negative features at a discount. The number one thing that I hate about propane that is completely inarguable is that it smells terrible. Basically makes it into a fart gun that also shoots BBs. For that reason alone, I will never use it in my personal guns. If you want to lube your guns every time you play and don't mind the smell, you are sort of ok to use propane, but propane will decrease your guns lifespan significantly due to it's corrosive additives. So in the long run, it's sort of a trade off I guess; Parts will wear out and oxidize much quicker on propane than green gas. So, your choice. What gun are you using?
@@DiegoRodriguez-th1ho If you have the plastic slide version, that's a pretty efficient gun. I wouldn't worry about the price of gas on that one very much. When you get a metal slide gun, that's generally when you start to lose efficiency and might want to start worrying about cost of gas if that is something that concerns you.
would 3d printing a short stroke buff a viable option or should i get rubber ones/waldo customs ones (i dont feel like the waldo ones are worth the price i only one short stroke it barely)
if you only want to short stroke once get a kit for like £8 that comes with an upgraded guide rod + spring and 2 metal short stroke buffs i wouldn't recommend 3d printing because under the stress it could break and damage the gun

Does it co witness with a red dot?
Will this work mamba kit?
Hi, I just into gbb and see people recommending using propane and lubing parts manually. Do you do this or do you suggest using green gas.
