It's just to cater to the younger generation. Most don't want to sit through a full 10 minute interview, but would rather see the funny 1 and a half minute part.
jimmy kimmel should not learn from this because he does a way better job at interacting with his guest and never brings awkwardness to the interviews like colbert.
He's Colombian. That's why he kept mentioning the country, and I'll assume there was a paisano in the audience, because every time he did, someone woo!-ed.
Sid the Sloth, that guy from Romeo and Juliet, the Djinn from Arabian Nights, also the Clown from Spawn. The man's an icon, like a pink bat in the night.
I'm surprised that his role as Luigi in the Super Mario Bros. movie wasn't brought up at all in this interview despite his best impression towards the end
Trump has filed for bancruptcy several times and on at least once that I know of he said we should simply default on the debt. As Winston Churchill said, "The Americans will always do the right thing. After they have exhausted every other possibility!
The SAT question shows how simplistic and ridiculous the test actually is. If you know a lot about Leguizamo's performances, you would know that they are not really a "corrective" to Latino stereotypes in American culture. They break boundaries in theater, "comedy," art, performance and storytelling. I think that anybody who has actually experienced one of Leguizamo's performances would have been puzzled by the question & answer choices and chosen 'E: none of the above.'
That S.A.T. question threw me as well (been a loong time since high school), I was thinking the correct word would have been 'representative' for some reason.
The question isn't asking about stereotypes, and you don't need to be at all familiar with Leguizamo or his corpus of work because of the way the question is correctly structured. You could have replaced his name with "an actor" or a fictional name and the answer would be the same. All the question checks is basic reading comprehension (can you string together the meanings of all these words to get an understanding) and "do you know what these specific words mean" (corrective, tribute, corollary, stimulus). Lacking one or both of these things isn't a fatal moral failing or anything - of course not, but it needs to be said - but failing to understand a question doesn't make that question or the test it comes from "simplistic and ridiculous". If anything, you are confusing the fact that the facet of Leguizamo's performances CAN be considered a corrective with the idea that it is MERELY a corrective - performances can in fact break boundaries in theatre, "comedy", art, and storytelling AND be a corrective. That's part of knowing what the word "corrective" means and how it works within the language, and so part of what the question was testing.
This show really needs to stop being a political propaganda show. The US late night comedy shows are like an echo chamber. It's so bad for the country.
so how can you fix all this diverse political talk points. it looks like you didn't want to hear that other people of different nationalities fought for this country to
"Sat" means truth in Sanskrit. On the S.A.T. you have to correctly answer a question about John Leguizamo he got wrong himself? Save your money, Honey. Education on the college level is just another scam. "If you want an education get a library card. If you want to get laid go to college." - Zappa
I hear a lot of jokes about accents from USA, Australians, Britishs, scottishs, indians and practically ever english spoken country too (from English speakers), everyone tends to prefers their local accent, it's a normal thing I guess
hahahahaha. if it wasn't for mexico beating the French all of North America would have been French as we know it.. even A.lincoln send a letter to B.juarez and Mexico for beating the French. the u.s was going through a civil war of their own and having France invading the u.s would have been a little easier.. actually mexico help the u.s kept or retains their independence and their country.. if it wasn't for mexico we all would be talking french... and Mexico would have become France second empire.
***** that's the only one they ever had.. mexico is a neutral country I believe it says on their Constitution they are not to be involved in wars.. but thanks to Mexico Puerto Rico is not a French speaking u.s colony as well French was going to colonized all the Caribbean too. Cuba, puerto rico etc.etc how you say Isla del encanto in French.. hahahahahaha
***** I wouldn't call it miserable think about it.. it could be one of the most important one. you could have been speaking French right now. that's how important that was. when you have Abraham Lincoln thanking them for saving the u.s it must have been quite important don't you think.
one thing that John said that goes unnoticed was when he said he has to fight within himself because he is native indian and white. he said I love and hate myself. I thought that was fascinating.
Christopher Aparicio He did not mention that a “Latino” Includes African blood. Millions of Africans were brought to Latin America as slaves. Free Africans - explorers - were in Mexico, North America, and more way before Christopher Columbus and other Europeans traveled there and enslaved, colonized, took the wealth, and terrorized and brutalized the indigenous people.
Serai3 Colombus was indeed Italian and there's plenty of proof of that, that's a fact, BUT he was sailing under Spanish flag and most of his crew was as well, that's why we speak Spanish today on this side of the world. Otherwise we'd be speaking Italian in Latin America
Hiponakte Just to add to your point, some historians state that Genoa was essentially a client state of Spain starting around 1528. Sicily, Naples and Milan were crown territories.
Nah, because it was quite possibly the most pointless war ever and had virtually zero impact on future events. Only relevant thing that came out of it was the national anthem. The US lost other wars, Vietnam for example, and we talk about them... well, those of us who aren't jingoistic idiots anyway.
I love the chemistry between Stephen and John. It's like they were just having a conversation and could just pick up where they left off
Leguizamo always looks too nervous! I love the guy, he has one of the best stand up shows I've ever seen!
John's right. It's amazing how many Latinos are registering and getting active. It's great to see.
Weve just endured the midterms...
Dems are pulling together. Ppl are active.
Love it.
Yes. They all votef for President Trump. 🇺🇲👍🏼✝️
Jimmy Kimmel should learn from this channel. You put the WHOLE interview on,not 5 million 12 second clips!!
George Tarantino right! Kimmel's channel used to put full interviews 😔
It's just to cater to the younger generation. Most don't want to sit through a full 10 minute interview, but would rather see the funny 1 and a half minute part.
jimmy kimmel should not learn from this because he does a way better job at interacting with his guest and never brings awkwardness to the interviews like colbert.
Awkwardness to the interviews? Who are you watching?
Bill Maher is worse for that. HBO doesn't know how to TH-cam.
OMG, To Wong Foo (then a bunch of words) From Julie Newmar.

Pest is a classic 👌
he's such a great actor!
Sid the Sloth, that guy from Romeo and Juliet, the Djinn from Arabian Nights, also the Clown from Spawn. The man's an icon, like a pink bat in the night.
John says "he did not club with him, they were just in the same clubs".
Being Italian I feel like the title of this video should be: John Leguizamo says "Stronzo" and "Stocazzo" live on national television. :D
John Leguizamo The Violator!
+Miley luv believe me you're not the only one.
Colbert is the sharpest tool in the shed.
John Leguizamo is just a Latino Steve Buscemi.
"White people" such a strange term when the "Hispanic" guest is more white then the "Caucasian" host.
Isn't Colbert caucasian??
Not Hispanic only mestizo
When he said "true that" I cackled. Lmfao he is amazing 🤣
He will always be Luigi.
I'm surprised that his role as Luigi in the Super Mario Bros. movie wasn't brought up at all in this interview despite his best impression towards the end

I worked with several people from different Latin American countries and they each had there own accent and complained about each others Spanish.
Alan Macphail as a South American person I can confirm this, we mock each other’s accents vey much.
I hear a lot of jokes about accents from USA, Australians, Britishs, scottishs, indians and practically ever english spoken country too (from English speakers), everyone tends to prefers their local accent, it's a normal thing I guess

Americans also helped the Mexicans retain their independence during our Civil War and their war with the French
hahahahaha. if it wasn't for mexico beating the French all of North America would have been French as we know it.. even A.lincoln send a letter to B.juarez and Mexico for beating the French.
the u.s was going through a civil war of their own and having France invading the u.s would have been a little easier..
actually mexico help the u.s kept or retains their independence and their country.. if it wasn't for mexico we all would be talking french... and Mexico would have become France second empire.
mae that's the only miserable war they've won haha.

I'm Puerto Rican and I vote Libertarian!
John is half columbian.
Esperanto is not a dead language, but I see where you're coming from.
Columbus was Italian... (Or more correctly Genoese)
They were tyranns you don't feel english just because England invades you .idiota.
Nope, sorry. There's no evidence of that. It's historic myth. It's much more likely that he was Spanish himself.
Serai3 Colombus was indeed Italian and there's plenty of proof of that, that's a fact, BUT he was sailing under Spanish flag and most of his crew was as well, that's why we speak Spanish today on this side of the world. Otherwise we'd be speaking Italian in Latin America

Benny Blanco from the Bronx !
Benny Blanco from the Bronx.
Sid, what are you doing?!
"war of 1812.... that nobody cares about..." Because they lost that war.
Nah, because it was quite possibly the most pointless war ever and had virtually zero impact on future events. Only relevant thing that came out of it was the national anthem. The US lost other wars, Vietnam for example, and we talk about them... well, those of us who aren't jingoistic idiots anyway.
