Casey it seems like life has handed you a lot of lemons but you keep making lemonade. Plus your attitude is great. You are a trooper. Glad you and all the volunteers made a beautiful place beautiful again.
Great job getting that car down where you wanted it to be. I'm sorry you're not feeling well. My prayers go out to you that you feel better day by day.
I spent many years exploring Central Oregon as well as several trips 4 wheeling on that butte. I don't live there now and this brings back a lot of memories. Thanks
I have pics of that steep hillside, people all over side hill picking up trash. Vid doesn't really show how steepness . I did see white car at bottom parked by white trk. There was maybe 50 people 9n hillside at one time, no fall protection. Thnx to all of you that worked up there!
Excellent job thanks for bringing us along great work with the cleen up I wish people would take some responsibility for their own rubbish wishing you and all your loved ones all the best
I can’t help just loving the old 80. I’m wondering what Casey meant by “the 80 project” is he gonna build one? I love mine like a child, wouldn’t part with it for the world. ❤️🇷🇴👍🏻
@@CaseyLaDelle that makes me sad. If there is anything I can do, ever, let me know. I know We are a fair few thousand miles away, but Oregon is on my bucket list. Take it steady, keep up the good work, and if you need a shoulder or a virtual man hug...
Another great video. I’m impressed with the Ram on these steep hills, at least it looked really steep in the video so I’m sure it was crazy. Thanks for sharing
So buy Watching your videos Casey, I've learned a lot, and I actually went to Harbor Fright and bought myself a BADLAND APX 12,000 Winch with Synthetic Rope for my RV.
I don't like or care for ads or watching them in entirety but to help generate revue for you to do the charity you do I find myself watching them all the way to the end so it generates more revenue for you to help others with the charity work you do 👍
Hope the cleanup went well! I put my guy in contact with PLSBend and hopefully they can work out getting more help for upcoming cleanup events. Thanks, as always, for the great videos!
As an old sailor, I was triggered by the reporter setting up in the bight (downslope from the truck and in the directing the line would swing if things went bad). But all is well. I highly recommend Goldenseal for persistent "sick". Yeah, it's an herb, but that one seems to work for low-grade bacteria/viral "sick".
So rad so many volunteers signed up AND you guys removed that treacherous dead car. That looked mega steep. I would have volunteered to drive it off the hill! Your truck handled the hill so well up ns down and I see you now have a tent on it too. Keep up the great videos Casey!
Awesome video. I would have been checking that car seat for snakes before I got in it. Lol You guys are great. I hope there will be a video of the clean up. 👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
I just watch this and watch the Central Oregon Daily News clip and you did become famous for saying "I never get to be on this end" 🤣 🤣 🤣 Great Job by the way on the recovery!
i would have signed up but ( lame excuse incoming ) i'm about 3000 miles away on a different continent , i do sign up for local clean - ups .. good luck i know with 200 + volunteers you guys will make a difference
Hey Casey !! If you watch Matt , when he's on a steep incline coming down like you did ,, he puts his vehicle in reverse along with the brakes & uses the throttle to help get to the bottom !! Great that you guys got that car down without some 1 like YOU to get injured !! Have a good time with the ""CLEAN UP "" !!!
I know what he does, and there are VERY few situations where I would agree with that method. There is no one single method that works for everything, every single job is different and how you go about that job is situation dependent
Between you, Matt, and Rory, I wanna move to Pacific North West area so badly I can't stand it. The only decision is where, and I think Rory has the best wheeling somewhere near Moab most likely.
Fun times I helped my Neighbor out last night and this morning 😉 his AWD all the time Denali sunk in our Clay yards a couple days ago and it was freezing overnight so sunny and warm made it a slick as snot recovery day yesterday. Got his 2wd Chevy PU out of its hole where it was buried and frozen in, then as luck had it! My F250 got stuck in 2” of snot slick mud. It’s not always the depth of the mud but in my case while using the 12,000# winch I had to get my truck to stop moving and parked so I was at an angle. Then pooling surface water on the clay slicked it up and a gentle bit of movement spun the tires and it was stuck... let it freeze overnight and this morning pulled the Denali free and then myself out, and was perfect to drive out! Later this spring we will get back in there and fix it, so that the two track is much higher and dryer for next year!😎 Great place to practice some old recovery skills! And your un recovery reminds me of Ft Hood TX. The Butes around the Area had some steep angles to their sides that no Camera can really do much justice for. I saw something years ago that was in Toyota Forerunners that I’d love to have it was a Tilt and Angle Gauge sat right on top of the dash back in the 80’s. At least if you had that the Camera could tell us what you were feeling in drivers seat! I’m going to check out if I can find one on E-Bay or something!
That was great, hard work walking those hills dragging gear, but looked fun! You trying to drive that reminded me of Lizzy getting drug in that recovered stolen with no wheels all those miles outta the desert laughing all the way. You guys get all the fun jobs. *jealous *
Casey I agree if your wife watches this video she isn't going to be happy with you at all. That would of been fun in that car going down the hill. I knew it was going to be interesting when you told the guy to film in case anything stupid happens. If I lived in the area I would of definitely volunteered without a doubt
I have played on that area for years. That is the biggest challenge for even a quad to climb. When he is going down the hill he is practically standing on the firewall and pushing on the steering g wheel to keep his rear from coming off the seat.
Well nice recovery Casey however if I could suggest with your big (automatic) truck going downhill with slippery surfaces like loose gravel is to put the truck in the low gear & your transfer case in 4 low this way you don’t have to apply the brakes so much & become essentially a big truck on 4 skis. A wheel that doesn’t turn just skid & then there’s no real control but rolling slow using the truck engine compression gives you more control. Goo Luck from a brother Wheeler
Yeah as I was standing on the side of the hill I was looking at the camera screen, then looking up at real life, then back to the camera screen like, "oh come on.... 🤦🏼♂️"
You should make friends with Heavy D Sparks - I'm sure he would've loved to help you and let you borrow some of his toys. he loves doing these kinds of things

Maybe a tee shirt. 🤔
Thanx for making it Safe for the People to come and clean up
Have a Great Day 👍
God Bless America 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
Glad you all didn't end up being the news story! Also, love your very techy filming term, "outro." You all did good!
“Where we are going we don’t need seatbelts”😂😂😂 You have such a great attitude no matter the obstacles!👍😎 God bless and stay safe out there!❤️🙏
Casey it seems like life has handed you a lot of lemons but you keep making lemonade. Plus your attitude is great. You are a trooper. Glad you and all the volunteers made a beautiful place beautiful again.
That first sentence is the understatement of the year!
I wish that I lived in that area, I would definitely sign on to any and all clean up efforts. Thank you to everybody and thumbs UP 👍
You can sign up for cleanup around your erea or you can throw a yellow or green vest on and voluntarily do it yourself.
@@lukesnare8063 I do. So can you.
@@richardthomas1743 Liar no you don't you are just one of those shlt talkers who trys to make himself look good 😆
That was Awesome, & I was on the edge of my seat praying nothing bad happened.
Love your videos, please take care of yourself. God bless and keep you
Thank you Casey, Awesome video.
Great job getting that car down where you wanted it to be. I'm sorry you're not feeling well. My prayers go out to you that you feel better day by day.
Nothing repeats, your recovery, always new.
You guys did a great job. Wonderful community pride and community support. Love you and your family and watch your channel faithfully.
Props to you and the crew for doing the clean up. You definitely got your steps and stair count on this one!
Hope you feel better
Thanks for helping get the word out about the cleanup, 300 plus was the last I heard. I had a great time, never chopped up a camper before.
Thanks for sharing!
Great recovery sketchy but great recovery and hope you feel better
Wow!!Love the community support 👊
As long as it's been there it wasn't going anywhere but still needed to be gone from the forest. Awesome work!

INCREDIBLE!!! Im exhausted just watching you! Glad it went well ☺️

It was an amazing event. I had a great time working there with that amazing (massive) crowd and thanks for all your hard work!
My legs are burning just watching you.
Well done, Casey. Looks like you enjoyed the thrill ride for a few short seconds.
Well done Casey, hope the cleanup goes well.
Excellent job thanks for bringing us along great work with the cleen up I wish people would take some responsibility for their own rubbish wishing you and all your loved ones all the best
A lot of cable, slings and a tug or two and you made it to the bottom! Good job guys!
If that hill was steeper than it looked it must have been real steep I hope everyone realizes how much good you and that group do thanks
Nice job. Be safe out there.
I'm glad you have a record number of volunteers signed up. It's too bad, that a few don't seem to care if they leave garbage behind in public areas.
Casey, you get to have all the fun!
You are a good man Casey, though you do not need me to tell you that.. keep up the awesome work. With love from Vancouver Island, Canada 🇨🇦
Man that 80 series LC is sweet. I am admittedly jealous.
I can’t help just loving the old 80.

Hope you feel better soon! This is an awesome project! Hope everything goes to plan!
Casey, that was a good time! Looking forward to more recoveries and cleanups with you, COLC and PLS.

Dang! You just made me want to find Central Oregon Daily report. 🤣
Let me guess, this car crashed on the highway in the sky and landed on the side of this hill! Great recovery guy's!
Great to see so many people participate in this clean up!
Has she already posted that Central Oregon Daily video of this rescue somewhere?
I have to say Casey, you’re better at recovering, than you are at being recovered. 😂😎🇬🇧

Amazing video. And helping environment. Part of my drive way is seeing sky. My visitors give me there keys and say you drive it out.
Casey is that a an Ironman roof top tent you now have on your truck?🇦🇺 just noticed an awning also. Good job .
Yes it is!
I have played on that area for years. That is the biggest challenge for even a quad to climb.
When he is going down the hill he is practically standing on the firewall and pushing on the steering g wheel to keep his rear from coming off the seat.
Yeah it's very steep, very loose, and a much taller hill than it looks. There's a reason that car has been sitting there for as long as it has!
If you use the parking brake, it allows you to still steer and if needed assist the parking brake with the pedal.
should add an angle indicator on screen for thoes crazy hills and cliff faces you work and drive on durring recoveries.
I give you credit for steering. On a bike path no less lol
If you haven’t been in the outdoors where there are hills and mountains you won’t get a concept of how steep it really is
Well nice recovery Casey however if I could suggest with your big (automatic) truck going downhill with slippery surfaces like loose gravel is to put the truck in the low gear & your transfer case in 4 low this way you don’t have to apply the brakes so much & become essentially a big truck on 4 skis. Ya know it's steep when your on the brakes and it's just sliding..
You gotta love the "go-pro effect".
This hill is as steep as dirt can be stacked! Then ya pan around, and it looks like a parking lot...
Yeah as I was standing on the side of the hill I was looking at the camera screen, then looking up at real life, then back to the camera screen like, "oh come on.... 🤦🏼♂️"
no way, my friends and i drove up there about two months ago and saw that car, we were just so confused how someone got it in that position lol
That must have been an interesting wreck..😵💫
Sking in a 4x4 niceeee, that's some pucker factor there

Guessing that car wasn't as much as a Danger as previously thought after all... 😂
