I see some people justly commenting on Victoria cutting herself with the knife despite her durability, but I think she’s manipulating the Compound V in her blood to make herself more vulnerable in order to make the cut and show Marie her powers. No other Sup would be able to do this but a blood bender in theory can even drain themselves of V completely if they wanted too. Edit: I went back and watched the scene where Butcher shot her and he set the weapon on her head then made a cheeky remark before firing, giving her plenty of time to manipulate her blood chemistry and enhance her durability. This may or may not be the case because she was splashed with acid just before but either that’s what happened, she’s automatically invulnerable or after the Boys were made she physically went on guard.
I never thought of this but it is theoretically true. In a larger sense, bloodbenders can also effectively revert supes back to humans. It may be a very big plotpoint once they introduce marie to the main series.
Another possibility might be that her durability (and that of Marie who has similar powers to her) works with blunt force but not as much with sharp ones. It would make sense that they could cut their skin open if they want to access their own blood as a weapon, if the situation calls for it at the very least.

I doubt it. His internal organs may be too durable similar to soldier boy. She could try to stop his blood flow to his brain or heart but that won't instantly kill him and he will likely find her and kill her for the attempt. He does have super speed too.
The eyes not turning white might have been all about range. In the courthouse she was relatively close to everyone she killed. The scene with her eyes turning white had her killing a target at a much greater range. This might have required a deeper focus with her power, thus the white eyes.

I really do think it's nice to come up with these theories but I wish people didn't forget the most basic thing. She had the eyes shift in the scene so there was no doubt that she was the killer. It was a stylistic choice to make the narrative more clear. If you come at it from this angle then you end up not overthinking it too much

It was only briefly so she can withstand it. All supes can withstand a little laser vision. But Homelander can rip her apart with bare hands. She can't blow up his head as he's too powerful.

Magneto was able to pull adamantium because it's metal. Using the same logic, she can't pull out compound V because it's not the same composition as blood - at least they haven't said anything in the show to suggest this.

She may not be able to explode homelander because all of his body tissue has super durability, but based on her blood manipulation ability she could still in theory eliminate him other ways. How may you ask? Blood clots. I don’t see how she wouldn’t be able to coagulate any part of his blood. She could just give him an ischemic stroke and cut off blood supply to his brain, or she can make clots all throughout his lung’s blood vessels and take him out through respiratory arrest. That’s too easy and too OP for the plot though, so I can see why they didn’t go that route.

i believe she draws all the blood in her target to their head and then explodes it. It would explain the nose bleeding since we do have blood vessels in our nostrils and maybe some of the dizziness and confusion that you would feel because almost everyone feels the blood coming immediately when it would take you a second to feel it running down your nose. Surely having less V in your system will reduce your abilities to some degrees. When Soldier Boy uses his blast, it evaporates the V completely from their blood stream and while the radiation probably kills the cells that have been altered… I’d assume that if the V was still in their blood, they’d recover because when Kimiko receives more V that’s what happens. Because the blast fries the V in their blood, they’re rendered powerless, so Newman should be a huge threat to every sup except HL because he’d give her the comic Maeve treatment if he started feeling anything weird and suspected Victoria.
Just because you can control blood doesn’t mean you can rip it apart on that level. No blood manipulators have been shown the ability to separate certain compounds from just blood just control it in movement at best

She may not be able to explode homelander because all of his body tissue has super durability, but based on her blood manipulation ability she could still in theory eliminate him other ways. How may you ask? Blood clots. I don’t see how she wouldn’t be able to coagulate any part of his blood. She could just give him an ischemic stroke and cut off blood supply to his brain, or she can make clots all throughout his lung’s blood vessels and take him out through respiratory arrest. That’s too easy and too OP for the plot though, so I can see why they didn’t go that route.

i believe she draws all the blood in her target to their head and then explodes it. It would explain the nose bleeding since we do have blood vessels in our nostrils and maybe some of the dizziness and confusion that you would feel because almost everyone feels the blood coming immediately when it would take you a second to feel it running down your nose. Either way she was kinda like the Scarlet witch of the boys, insanely powerful and switched sides in a heartbeat to save herself so i knew either her or A-train was going to die soon :(
She can create pressure at a point to blow up but only if she can see it. If her eyes are covered she's helpless. That's what Butcher did. Also against Homelander and soldier boy they're too powerful. That's why she's afraid of Homelander.

But only because Butcher covered her eyes so she can't use her power. There was this fight between her and an informant and he immediately tried to cover her 👀 so she couldn't pop him. She has to look at the target for it to work and I think with Homelander she's not powerful enough to blow him up.

I was wondering if Victoria Neumann could detect compound V in the blood. Wouldn't it be possible to depower a supe by separating compound V from the bloodstream ?
I would assume compound v alters cells. I would also assume that the altered cells would be permanent

Surely having less V in your system will reduce your abilities to some degrees. When Soldier Boy uses his blast, it evaporates the V completely from their blood stream and while the radiation probably kills the cells that have been altered… I’d assume that if the V was still in their blood, they’d recover because when Kimiko receives more V that’s what happens. Because the blast fries the V in their blood, they’re rendered powerless, so Newman should be a huge threat to every sup except HL because he’d give her the comic Maeve treatment if he started feeling anything weird and suspected Victoria.
Just because you can control blood doesn’t mean you can rip it apart on that level.
No blood manipulators have been shown the ability to separate certain compounds from just blood just control it in movement at best

Soldier boy literally uses radiation to fry a specific compound out of the body no blood manipulators can control compound V so if it’s in the blood it’s going to stay there unless as shown immense radiation is used like solider boy
If stormfront didnt even feel pain when homelander almost fully blasted her on the chest i would think Victoria cant be harmed the same way with homelanders eyes that others can be. And i have no idea how homelander would defend him self against attack of his own blood because you dont have to penetrate his skin you just basically render him dead interly. Maybe one of the only ways to do it. But Victoria is too scared and isnt a fighter she just uses her power when others are powerless against her to gain personal advantage.

I disagree with alot of this. They have not shown her level of durability. She could be way stronger than Homelander and be faking. She didnt even want people to know she was a supe, why would she want them to know the extent of her power? We, at this point, have no idea of the extent of her powers.
