I just bought a TC Electronics Plethora X5 for the effects, which I run the ToneX Pedal via the X5’s effects loop. Now we’re going to have effects on ToneX that can also be set up pre or post cab!!!
I wish they added a top 50 or top 100 rigs/amps for each characters, on tonenet. It'd be easier for people to access the best tones online, without losing too much time with bad captures. Yes there's weekly top tones, but it really doesn't mean anything. Overall nice update, I liked it.
Fully agreed! I'm using Tonex One for drive pedal captures, and it would be really valuable to see the recent/popular drive pedal models in Tonenet. I imagine this would not take too long to develop ...
Can’t wait for this! Sounds great! To be honest it’s the only thing the Tonex pedal was lacking for me. It’s awesome they are providing this free to the pedal vs making us buy a new version.
Love the update so far - and it is far more than appropriate for a free update. Still, I would be even more excited, if at least tremolo and rotary could be put at the very end of the chain...
hey bro, Im in love with tonex.. do we have a date for that release? (sorry if you said that on the video, i didnt capture that, dont speak english perfectly).. thanks!
Good video, the only thing that I was surprised about was that you played a down tuned guitar. Standard tuning would have been a bit more recognizable. Thanks!
I just had that guitar in my hand from a video I filmed just before this one - and I thought it wouldn’t make a big difference because of it just being modulation and delay…there will be more videos with standard tuning guitars coming
Thanks for the video however it would be best to record this video after you tried the pedals and inform how we could adjust the new parameters on the pedal, will there be an firmware update needed etc. That would be the most beneficial.
This was just meant to be a first look as they are still finalising everything before this actually gets released...this is just a beta version and they told me that there will be some changes before this gets released to the public...so once the actual version gets released I will do a proper full video about it
I think it will work just like the reverb and compression have been working…I should really install the beta version of the pedal firmware and do a video about that
Man, if it will work in the pedal ….. that’s going to be epic !!! I flat love the ToneX pedal sounds but really like to have delay and some modulation on almost everything…. It would be incredible to have this work in the pedal form.. Thanks for doing what you do !!!! I REALLY enjoy all of your reviews !!!! ❤
this means a new pedal is on the way then. It will have more knobs and stuffs for fx. No way they start FX and don't keep going. They will probably drop a new hardware product soon.
@@TSFAHTPS saw a Sadites video yesterday where he demonstrated how how the tap tempo works in the pedal----yay! -- no spillover yet, but he thinks it's coming .
"after the amp and the cabinet" ?? Surely post must be after the amp but not after the cabinet? How do one put a pedal after the cabinet? 🙂 Sure, everything is possible in software but i thought this was emulating reality? 😉 Otherwise, nice first look. I feel like those who benefits most from this update are the ones using ToneX pedals, or those who has got ToneX software but not Amplitube. Sitting at the computer with both ToneX and Amplitube gets more options than this already.
Well, after the cabinet is more like how you would apply these effects in a studio. All profiling/capturing tools (Tonex, Kemper, Nanocortex) mean after cabinet by "post". Also makes sense, since the capture (unless it is a DI capture) is done with as microphone on the cab, so the equivalent of an effects loop on a real amp does not exist. Yes, with modeling tools like the Helix or Fractal you can put effects between amp and cab/IR - I did try that and can't say it sounds any better.
@@uwedasler425 I guess i just think too much of it in like a real live rig sort of situation, or as you say in modeling scenarios. Profiling/capturing is new to me so i'm just getting my head around it. As long as it sounds great the effects can be added wherever. :)
If you watch a rig rundown with someone like Larry Carlton for example…even live he runs his wet effects (reverb, delay, modulation) after his cabinet…the mic from his cabinet runs through his effects rack and then gets blended in - he has a seperate foldback to hear his wet signal! That’s a bit of an extreme scenario in a live environment but that’s how it’s done in studios all the time! It gives you the ability to turn a mono guitar amp into a stereo rig…also if you ever watch any of our demos when it’s both Alex and me…whenever you hear a delay in the video (unless it’s a demo of a delay) that delay is after the speaker
Very nice. Thanks IK Multimedia for a free update! Love the new spring!!
It’s a great sounding new reverb…I like it a lot
@@TSFAHTPS is this update available?
This gonna wipe Kemper Player and Nanocortex from the table ...
It should wipe Kemper with their 300 Euro upgrade, with that business model. At the end any modeller will be obsolete some day, unlike Tube amps.
These are very basic effects and it doesn't even have practical features like spillover, morphing. If I am wrong, I will get the tonex myself.
@slipperysky Only way to get Morph or especially 8 FX slots is to get the bundle. 300 Euro bundle, it unlocks on the Player.
They’re already wiped out.
hi G! very impressed under my headphones, you found some terrific sounds in there!!!

Very cool! On Headfones the sound was amazing! Love the stereo
Thanks for not playing all the same boring typical jason sadites and every other guitar player licks. That alone made the video worth it.

I’m hoping they will eventually make it so you can move the effects anywhere in the chain
It would be nice to get a Wah amongst the modulations, at least for the big pedal which has the ext pedal control input
Bardzo dobra sugestia, ale mało realna, bo nawet bramka szumów nie działa prawidłowo...
