In reality, I let Dan cast to the large majority of big fish and coached him thru the process. We didn’t include the casts without catches because obviously that wouldn’t be very exciting content. He also didn’t fish half or more of the day 🤷🏻♂️And to be fair, I could give people the exact rod, exact bait, and coach them through the entire cast/presentation (as I did), and 99% of fisherman wouldn't be able to catch a DD.

He mentioned fishing Okeechobee. I’ve done that multiple times using live shiners. My very best day was 71 bass. That was just my catch. Guide never set a hook, he just rigged up and did most of the casting. The fishing had been really good so I bought 12 dozen shiners. Not cheap but my best fishing day ever.
Another time I got a 9#4oz that is on the wall in my rec room.

I let him cast to 75% of the big ones, maybe more. We didn’t think including casting and not catching fish would make a very interesting video. Also, wasn't a "guide" trip.

If you get a chance to fish with someone like Ben, or any pro, you should be more concerned with learning than how many fish you catch. That man got a rare opportunity to gain unique knowledge. Head back to the first spot. Arrive the very moment to see 3 cast nets thrown while the front guy is livescoping the cove until its cleaned out.

I’ve been on some bad guide trips. This was not one. All the “boohoo he used livescope im angry I can’t afford it” comments are ridiculous. That was awesome! That was a stack for one day and too rich for my blood but the time being able to chop it up and learn some things would be awesome.
It’s funny how many are bashing you. If you don’t have years using livescope it’s very tough to target single fish like that. And if someone without experience is running the trolling motor they likely won’t be able to even track them.
Also this video shows how tough it is for an average guy to be a “TH-camr”. Very hard to focus on fishing and trying to be entertaining on camera.

Knowledge= power 300 days on the water x 8 hours a day is 2400 hours of knowledge . $17,000/2400hrs is $7.08 an hour. He got a deal 💁🏼♂️
