    Anthony Carrino of HGTV Kitchen Cousin cooks up a one-dish pasta that's one of his favorite quick-meal recipes. He shows off his ability to cut cherry tomatoes with a trick from Rachael Ray.
    The recipe is perfect for his and his girlfriend's busy schedules. The Dekton surface means you don't have to worry about cutting boards, hot pots on the counter, and cleaning. He flavors the dish with fresh basil, red pepper, garlic, white onion, cherry tomatoes, olive oil, and red wine.
    The surface also allows you to cut directly on it and slide a hot pot directly from the stove onto the counter without damaging the surface. This one-dish pasta is perfect for a quick and healthy meal.

    Esta pasta de un solo plato es perfecta para una comida rápida y saludable.

    "I don't have to worry about grabbing a cutting board; I can cut right on it. You're not gonna do anything to the surface."
    Yeah, but you're going to do something to the edge of your knife: ruin it. Use a cutting board, for goodness sake!

    • @DelinquentDane
      @DelinquentDane 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was thinking the exact same, if the surface you are cutting on doesn't give/gets marks, it has to be the edge of the knife...

      Sharpen your knife regularly. That’s what a chef does in regular basis. So why worry about the edge?

    • @seikibrian8641

      @@michaelchanky Chef's use a honing rod regularly, and sharpen their knives as needed. They also use cutting boards. No chef that I know cuts directly on a countertop.

      Well some chefs use ceramic cutting board too, which is the same too

      I don't know any who do. Wood, bamboo, plastic, etc. yes, but not ceramic or glass. Those are sold to home cooks who don't know any better.

    Oh yes and when it breaks it’s like glass so watch your fingers it’s more expensive than granite or quartz it’s a printed pattern so if you want under mount sink and cut in drainer groves you lose the colour and pattern where you cut them in it blunts your knife please use a chopping board made for food preparation if you get a chopping board made of the material your worktop is made of it’s decorative only been in the trade over 20 years get granite or quartz it’s a better product and it’s cheaper

    I wonder why everytime he is going to cut on the surface with knife the video is edited, like if showing how the knife cuts is not exactly important. The knife will loose all the sharpness and the sound that the knife makes when cutting on the surface will hurt the audience ears.

    Been a stone mason for 25 years done it all have made headstones and kitchen counter tops for that time don’t buy dekton why well it’s hard to work breaking during the preparation stage where it is cut to shape and size so you will pay more for it buy granite or quartz it’s cheaper much cheaper just as good as far as your kitchen is concerned and it don’t matter what worktops you have use chopping boards

    Considering Dekton. How does it compare with porcelain? I've read reviews about Dekton cracking when items drop on it.

    • @CosentinoTV
      @CosentinoTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Veronique, Dekton has better technical features than porcelain, due to its production process and composition. You can check it in the technical sheets that we have in our website.
      Dekton is an ultra-compact and very resistant material, nevertheless as other great resistance materials, it can crack depending on the way charge is applied. To guarantee its features and a long useful life, it is important to follow the recommendations of manufacturing and installation of the material, published in our guidelines for professionals.
      Best regards
