It must of been so hard for Piper I’ve never really had a mother she died when I turned 4 I remember on Mother’s Day I was always crying and felt so left out since all my friends had mother figures as such .Piper is so strong and brave to talk to her dad after these years if I was her I would even want to be involved with him but I’m so proud of her !

I have the same situation, my biological father is unfortunately not around. But I’ve learned to just let it go. Piper, don’t let this get to you, he is not your family. Your family is someone that is there for you through thick and thin. It may hurt because you may want your “dad” in your life but believe me. He is not a dad, he is a sperm donor. As messed up as that sounds it’s true. I just wish you the best ❤

I’m really proud of you! My father came in my life at 11! We completely started after and became best friends! It was really hard growing up without a dad and he apologized for it! That's Amazing I have a step dad! Because my real dad passed.. I miss him so much Because I was so young when he died like 4 and I don't even remember that much at the age but I saw pictures of him and stuff I really miss him tho and It's so cool that u finally have ur dad in ur life now!

I am a 39 year old woman and his response to your question about asking if he loved you broke my heart into a million pieces. He may be your biological father and the sperm donor but it takes a special person to be called a dad.
My parents divorced when I was about 10, best thing that ever happened to them, honestly. My father didn’t know how to “dad” and I see that now as an adult. Thankfully, I was able to talk with him (still do off and on to keep the relationship going) and therapy has helped me navigate Life and make sense of things I didn’t see as a child.
Long story short, blood relation or not, if they’re not around during your struggle, they don’t deserve to be around during your success.
