- Yale and Penn State did battle in the 2019 NCAA Lacrosse Tournament Semifinals and TD Ierlan and the Bulldogs had themselves a game, dropping the Nittany Lions by a score of 21-17.

Gotta say it was a fun game to watch! The PSU D was just not there and they were not there down the stretch either. Yale looked amazing on the other hand! Can’t wait for Monday! Go Hoos!

Good game
Before the game, many of the PSU fans were booing the Yale team and when Yale went up 9 they were quiet. It was nice to see Yale do them like that.
How is that different from EVERY other major college or pro game?
Fast Walk to Fresno It might as well had been a PSU home game being that the game was in philly, so there was maybe 10-15k fans in there, which were the majority of fans. I think out of respect, especially in lacrosse, you should at least have some respect for the other team.
UNBELIEVABLE. What a bracket breaker. Looked like the keeper for PSU started guessing shots, but with that defensive effort, maybe he had to?
Penn states defense really let them down
Sad to see penn state go home, the defense was so slow to start and even mac, grant, foulds, and kelly couldnt come back

I think that Yale would have a harder time if the match last 80 minutes as in the MLL. They dominates the first quarter but afer that they feel less unstoppable. still really strong . BTW i was pretty sure we would have seen yale in the finals since i knew they got TD from Ualbany.

They had a crazy season.
Never got the expert's saying Penn State would win or other people agreeing. Yale best team from a much better league.And Ivy lax is physical, and fast.Plenty of motion on O, and Yale beat them during season.

Direct me to that comment where I called you crazy. I have had Yale in the final 4 since day one. Yes I assumed Penn State would win, but only by a goal. I'm not saying I didn't call you crazy, but if I did, it was in jest. Even I knew Yale had a shot. My picking Penn State was just me having to pick someone. Today.... Yale by 2 goals.
So this is like the first time I’m watching a lacrosse highlight reel and I’m in love with lax wish I knew how to play. But damn do I feel bad for the goalies.

Let's put it out there psu lost because of poor defense...new shot clock has been a game changer...we need to change the face off rules. I hate a specialist has such a major impact on a game...I didn't like it when Baptiste was effecting game outcomes and I don't like the facr Ierland is doing the same. Unfortunately he is s Jr so another season of this nonsense. Again psu lost because of poor D but the tone of the game was set early with win after win by TD.. I dont think we saw psu' s offense until half of the 1st quarter was over....this game should have been the best matchup of the last two weekends but turned into a game with little doubt about the outcome. Well I guess every game can't be a nail biter.. Has still been a great tournament.
@Finn McIntyre yes he is the best in the game at what he does. My point is let's have a discussion about whether this is good for the game. We make rule changes to make the game better and more watchable. Do you like a specialist having such an impact on the game? TD is the only player on the field or sideline that probably has less overall lax skills than I do.
