Hello, just a small correction - This Kriti is a part of Sri Oothukaadu Venkatasubbier’s Kamakshi Navavarna Kritis. Not a Dikshitar Kriti. But it’s so much like a Dikshitar style Kriti.. very relaxed pace and unfolds gradually. I would have classified it under Dikshitar too, had I not heard it earlier as a part of OVS’s Navavarna Kritis :)

These are the correct lyrics of the song. My research showed this to be the more authentic version than the Khanda Mathyam one. The remarkable features of this song are many including the choice of 20-akshara tala but perhaps the most singular is that this is the only song in Carnatic that has a kalai change from 2 in P & AP to 1 in Charanam.
This is oothukadu ventata subbayyar kruthi. In the book of Sri Chitra Veena Ravikiran"s notatio n this is in Sangeeta jaathi mathya talam. Wonder ful rendition.
