I was so confused over the fact that no other videos of this maze showed Billy! I was like, "How could they make a maze about seasons 2 and 3 and not have the main human antagonist?". So great to see he IS in the maze. Thank you! :)
Went to horror nights super excited for the stranger things maze last night in Hollywood..... and I was disappointed. I heard that the Orlando maze was better but I had no idea it was THIS much better. Bummer.
Angela marchese for example the mindflayer (big creature in the mall) looks like it was wrapped in toilet paper in the Hollywood version. A lot of the maze is underground tunnels an not that many scare actors
Thanks man! The warning of flashing is actually more important than people think it is. Now I can go through the maze expecting constant flashing instead of being shocked and unprepared for it.
Lexi yah I went through it last night and in the past I was sensitive to strobes but luckily I’ve gotten better because it didn’t rly bother me. It was just annoying, to me if you have to use that many strobes for a haunted house to make it scary then it’s just not scary. Like the set design was amazing but I’m really mad I wasn’t able to rly enjoy it because I was constantly getting flashed in the eyes. Even the scare actors like a demogorgon got in my face and it just wasn’t scary because I rly can’t see that much. I just felt like they should have done what they did last year with stranger things. They hardly used strobes and it was a great haunted house.
Did anybody else cough when going into the upside down area? It’s the same way in the tribute store this year I think it’s a non toxic chemical they use to make you cough and feel immersed.
I know for a fact that when I saw billy pop out I would say “DONT KILL ME BILLY I LOVE YOU” (yeah I like billy he deserved better, Dacre Montgomery did a incredible job being billy)
We went on September 13th. Had the express passes, so we went in this house, waited about 15 minutes. My friend and I were desperate to do this one again, so we got in line right at closing, said it was a 90 minute wait. Waited about 25 minutes. And I'm glad we went back in, we noticed stuff that wasn't there before. Fun house, and my second favorite this year!
Man, Hollywood really got the shaft here. The only room they pulled off slightly better was the house. The screen looks less like a screen seeing it through windows. But the illusion is immediately broken when you see the black wall. It looks so cheap and lifeless compared to this version.
Funny how it starts off fixing the worst part about the Stranger Things house in Orlando last year. In Hollywood you actually got to walk through the classroom and past Eleven using her powers on the Demogorgon which was absolutely incredible and the one in Orlando had statues in a room you just walked past and viewed through a window, which was unbelievably lame. So they must have decided to do their best to undo that massive blunder right away in the new house.
Orlando’s Stranger Things 2018 house was soooo much better overall than Hollywood’s. I went through both of them ... and based on the videos this years Orlando is better too...
@@briexander8353 That's just factually incorrect. The last scene alone made Hollywood's far superior. Other than that they were pretty equal. Orlando totally shit the bed on that final scene with Eleven and the Demogorgon and that left such a bad final impression there's no way it can be considered better. I haven't been to either this year and have only watched a video of this one, so I don't know how they stack up.
I have to say, I’ve never done Orlando’s event (and I’ve heard it’s usually amazing), but seeing the BTS for Hollywood, I think some of our mazes May actually be better this year. This looks great, though!
Julian R. Dene the Hollywood ones are always cheaply done and are in tents. Also the even hasn’t even stated over there. Not a chance Hollywood’s is better unless you limit walking through black walls half the time
@@subscriberaccount6135 I've heard from someone who previewed Ghostbusters in Hollywood that their version is better. I'm waiting for videos to come out and see how it compares.
Looks like they did an amazing job with this one, too. It's just unfortunate that the lines at HHN get so long that you literally can't even see all of the houses on most nights without spending a buttload of money on an express pass. And I think I'm gonna save 3:31 as a notification tone on my phone.
TheRealConcertKing The lines can get crazy, but it is possible to do everything in one night without the express pass! I just went for my first night of the season today and got everything done without an express pass! Plus I got to spend time in all the scare zones and even stop for snacks. Overall it’s an amazing experience, and it can be done in one day! It just takes some time management skills lol. I do always but the frequent fear pass though, but that’s just so I can do it all again!
@@BM-mw4nv It depends on the night. If it's not too busy and you plan it right, it can be done. But if it's above moderate crowds, or REALLY crowded, then it's pretty much impossible. On my one night at HHN in Orlando last year, according to Universal Team Members, the crowd that night was almost double what the park projected. And because of that, the best I could do was all but 3 of the houses. In fairness, I did also spend a fair amount of time in Diagon Alley, so I guess MAYBE it could have been possible to get more done, but the lines for Stranger Things and Poltergiest were like 3-4 hours long from 20 minutes after opening until close. My first year at HHN in Hollywood (2016), I was able to get everything done by midnight even including the rides, but that was because we went on a slower Sunday night and did early entry so we had half of them done by sundown.
Gregory Gnoffo most people aren’t epileptic, plus they go through extensive training to make sure they don’t and so that they adjust to the lights because the flashing lights and loud sounds can disorient anyone so their training does all of that for them
Isaac Muñoz I see. I did theater for many years on stage, but never had to deal with strobes constantly going off and the loud sounds. Just watching all this on TV was starting to get to me! Outside of all that they really outdid themselves this year. Put a lot of money and thought into all this. Good for them!
Gregory Gnoffo I worked as an actor last year basically you sign a whole bunch of shit and you have go through so much training but usually they have a couple of doctors in the break rooms near the houses
Jimmy Hernadez training? Looks like you just step out on cue and go back in to your hiding spot. There are some roles where it’s more involved like saying/mouthing lines but most of the time it’s come out and hide. Seems way easier than some scaring gigs I’ve had where you had to come up with stuff on the fly and often times you’re the most interesting thing in the room. No loud scare cues to help.
I’m kind of sad that I didn’t get to go to this house, I went to the others but my group didn’t want to go to the Stranger Things house because it had the longest wait time/line out of all the houses :/
One thing I notice is that no one ever screams/ gets scared in these videos. This is Horror Nights right? So no one ever actually gets their money's worth in the fear department. Also Universal must have a different policy when it comes to foul language in the audio fx. I'm sure it's hard not to find a curse word in any audio clip from Stranger Things. But not a bad house.
I wonder is Universal realizes these “houses” would be better suited as permanent dark rides when all they essentially are is telling the story of the IP and half the characters are static figures and not real people anyway.
Sakura4907 with all those lights flashing the human mind starts to panic due to the fact that it is Disoriented and can’t really see what’s going on.... only catching few glimpses. Combined with things jumping out at you and loud noises. Basically without the lights you’d be less scared
I’d be too busy fangirling over the maze to be scared
Same im going for my birthday and I know imma be fangirling
That’s how I was last year lmao
It’s not even scary trust me
I was there last night and I can confirm I was doing both
I went last night and that was exactly what I did 😂
Bob!!!!! BOB!!! Im so glad they gave him a scene
kayliiika It made me sad. :(
What about alexei tho
Theme park Geek raise your Slurpee for Alexei

Different mazes.

They combined seasons 2 and 3 nice
maaaaaan the orlando version puts universal hollywood's to SHAME
Why's that. also I never seen the show is it real scary or no. also I've seen vampire diaries show though
Angela marchese it's like a sci-fi,
mystery, horror, adventure type deal
Angela marchese for example the mindflayer (big creature in the mall) looks like it was wrapped in toilet paper in the Hollywood version. A lot of the maze is underground tunnels an not that many scare actors
Universal Has Officially Out Done Themselves was this beauty of a house and I love the tv show super accurate
Epileptic flash warning: 0:00-4:50 (the whole damn thing)
Dioxide_triggered Dioxide XD

4:02 That looks so much like Hopper
Or Seth rogan
But it is he has his button down shirt and mustache (and ps Seth rogen looks nothing like that I’m disappointed in u Troy)
ikr, when i went i literally almost teared up when i saw him hahahah
Extremely cool that you caught my friend as the second El! She was only there twice that season so it was very lucky! LOL
That looks so good! I thought the Hollywood one looked good but wow, this blows it out of the water!

Randomfools To be honest, it’s like Hollywood cheaped out on their maze
I feel like Hollywood hurried
The Us house looked way better in Hollywood then here in Orlando
Really? But the Hollywood's actors are all wearing plastic mask and the design are very plain. Looks Orlando is better

dont worry pal, id feel the same

TheRealConcertKing it’s not “factually incorrect” that’s just your opinion. The ending of the house doesn’t just make a whole house.
Yes they had a Billy 👏👏
0:56 destroyed me
The strobe lights at the end almost killed me
Why.
me to
but they were a cool effect
I wanna go so badly and see the Erica part >U
Jesuale Games That was a nice touch.
@@idunnobutyay2520 I know right?
Jesuale Games she scared the crap outta me when i went 😂
haley ! 😂 I bought the Stranger Things jacket in Universal today 😂

0:43 max 😂😂😂

Your Creepshow maze will be better than ours for sure!

The Orlando maze was way better than the Hollywood maze.
That looks so cool omg
Dang, and I just got back from the one in Cali.
This ones a lot better in comparison.
Our Poor Ryno at 2:16! I think these houses are just to darn scary!🤣😂 But fun for those who love to be scared! Boo! 👻 🧟♀️🧟♂️🎃
Sofa king dumb
Man, Universal is at the top of their game. I wish the actual park ride is just as good and do away with projections...lol.
there's a stranger things ride?
There’s gonna be a stranger things ride?
When I did this house the only thing I thought of was “major strobe warning for this one” 😂
Holy shit this is awesome, better than Hollywood's version. 👏

DO MAZES HAVE FAKE CHARACTERS?
How do the actors do this every night without going into seizures?

Sooo...silly question, but do the actors refer to themselves as "Scare-acters" (you know, instead of characters? LOL)
yes. i always read it as Scare Actors for some reason
Lol 2:16 camera man gets scared
That was Ryno 😂
So when I went through the maze, it was Mike instead of Max in the cabin with El and Nancy... do they switch? Cause if so, that's so dope.
Taylor Kellar yeah, max and mike switch off.
I went through twice one night, the first time Mike was there, the second time I saw Max.
Dude yes! :D
We said no to that because we had to wait 2:30 hours

With only a season or two left for the series, a Stranger Things dark ride will have a limited shelf life.

that was fuckin awesome!

really disappointed with this in the end, the season 2 stuff was eh but the season 3 stuff was very good
How come els nose doesn't bleed
I really dont know

This must be fun for the actors inside minimal makeup and you don’t have to growl lol course the lights might drive you nuts

orlando hhn>>>>>>>hollywood hhn
They could’ve done without all the flashing lights honestly
adds to the fear and its also used for scare effects
