My dear friend of 40 years was part of the 550 criminals…..Keith MacAldowie Greenock Post Sub postmaster who for over 12 long horrific and I bloody mean horrific years has finally been able to walk down the road without SHAME. This has been a disgusting and disgraceful period in British history. PAY THEM MILLIONS and a letter sent to every single resident in their area apologising for their actions over decades.

I think Nick should be recognised with some kind of honour or similar for his tireless work on this. Ive seen old footage of him hosting meetings with subpostmasters telling their stories ( just like the alan bates meeting on the tv dramatization) in various meeting venues going back years.

This is unbelievable. The country's leaders MUST act urgently to help these victims.

Good work Nick. Now the battle to open up the many, wide-ranging cover ups begin.

And another thought on the ramifications from the system that has yet to be addressed is that some sub postpersons initially suspected their employees of theft because of the figures not adding up and moved those people on. That's a silent stigma those equally innocent people have carries over all this time, and perhaps a worse one because it's been implied rather than said out loud. I feel for them too.

A documentary needs to be released about Janet Skinner’s experience with the post office. This I’m sure will get the attention of government officials and the public. Do it! It would be so interesting.

Here is the thing- apart from all the other aspects of this affair the role of Lord Neuberger in the Recusal seems to have escaped attention.
I have therefore pasted the following ‘The role of Lord Neuberger in the recusal fiasco (Justice Fraser) should be investigated’ on as many web sites as I could, about ten, but when I checked to see if there was any response I discovered they had all been taken down including Talktv
This Kafkaesque episode staggers one at every turn, even when Big brother has been outed he seems to be still working away!
I really want to know why Lord Neuberger interfered , if the recusal had succeeded the whole noble attempt at taking on the stinking system would have failed.

Those that worked in The Post Office legal department that had a hand in prosecuting sub post masters should face the full rigours of the law for fraud.

‘Time’ is justice. It would be much more efficient for whistleblowers to come forward thereby providing investigatory maps for those who are trying to crack this open from the outside.
And as far-reaching as Fujitsu is thruout the UK, it also increases areas of vulnerability…leverage for expediency!!

Doesn't anybody involved with the Horizon system know the meaning of the word 'firewall'?

False accounting is correct if, as demonstrated in examples, the accused had ok'd the accounts, with shortfalls, on the system.

I am so delighted for these people being shown to have been blameless. But I am left wondering this: we know about these folks (990 or so in total) because po 'caught' them (!!!! I know they had done nothing wrong) but how many other folks who were working under that horizon system were not 'caught' but who were impacted by that system for example who paid in their own cash to keep the balances straight and just sat tight and prayed it would come right, as some of the 555 group tried to do- we know nothing about that situation but I bet there are folks who say to themselves: there but for the grace of God goes me. The system was rotten, both Horizon and the po, but I fear we still don't fully understand just how rotten it really was.
